What do hot, sizzling shrimp and warm, buttery biscuits have in common? They’re both swirling around your head right now — and you’re drooling a little. Gettin’ hungry? Here’s why Red Lobster’s Garlic Shrimp Scampi is bomb! If you’re a true fan, you already know shrimp tastes great whichever way it’s prepared. And that’s why it has long been the most popular seafood choice in the United States. But there’s something extra special about that perfect pop of garlic, done up scampi style. "There’s 30 shrimp in there and there’s 30 more where that came from." Red Lobster’s take on the dish is so garlicky that the restaurant actually calls it Garlic Shrimp Scampi. Seasoned just enough, you’ll still be able to kiss your grandma on the cheek after you eat it without offending her with your garlic breath. All in, you’re sure to love this flavor-packed signature dish. It might be part of its name, but it’s not just the garlic that makes this dish a winner. Butter is another not-so-secret ingredient that makes shrimp scampi a decadent delight. Fortunately, Red Lobster doesn’t skimp when it comes to a generous serving of rich, delicious butter sauce — also made with white wine and lemon juice. And even better? The shrimp are baked directly in that delectable goodness. "Wanna go to Red Lobster on the way home?" Most people would say that it’s not really shrimp scampi without butter. And we definitely do not disagree. Not only does the sizzling butter sauce enhance the overall flavor of the dish, but you can also dip those glorious Cheddar Bay Biscuits that come with your meal, straight into the sauce. Looks like we won’t need to lick our plates clean, since we have those handy bread sponges! Here’s the real question: Do Red Lobster’s fresh-baked biscuits make its Garlic Shrimp Scampi taste even better, or is it the decadent garlicky shrimp that makes the Cheddar Bay Biscuits so yummy? Either way, there’s no denying that Garlic Shrimp Scampi paired with Cheddar Bay Biscuits is a match made in garlic lover’s heaven. Those Cheddar Bay Biscuits go with just about everything on Red Lobster’s menu, but they’re an especially excellent companion to shrimp scampi. What pairs better with garlic and butter than the tangy kick of aged cheddar cheese? Yeah — nothing! You can order shrimp scampi at any number of seafood restaurants. But you’ll only get to experience Cheddar Bay Biscuits at Red Lobster. At most places, you can never be sure what size shrimp you’ll get when you order the scampi entree. They can range from tiny to XL and anywhere in between. But fortunately that’s not the case at Red Lobster, where you’re definitely not going to be served a plate of wimpy little shrimp. "Oh!" "Here we go." "Joey!" "Oh, alright." "Are you kidding me right now?" Back in 2015 the chain committed to increasing the size of the shrimp in its popular scampi dish, changing from 41/50 count shrimp to 31/40 count. Uh-oh! Math! Basically it means that you can totally count on being served generous-sized shrimp as part of your scampi experience. You just focus on chomping down on those buttery babies with delight. With so many great options on the Red Lobster menu, it can be hard to narrow your choice down to just one thing. Luckily, scampi pairs perfectly with everything from lobster to seafood pasta to even more shrimp! "You can ease in, you can chow down, or you can show off!" Fortunately, you don’t have to make any tough decisions. That’s because Red Lobster features Garlic Shrimp Scampi as part of its Signature Feasts and other combo meals, with several seafood selections and sides of your choice. You can also create your own combo meal! Beyond that, you can add Garlic Shrimp Scampi to any other dish. Whether it’s an entree or an appetizer before your main course, there’s always the scampi add-on. Way to live the high life like a true seafood lover! There are a lot of seafood-focused restaurants that limit their shrimp offerings to the fried variety, but that’s so not the case at Red Lobster. Of course, the brand does serve up delicious fried shrimp dishes, but scampi is a wonderful alternative if you’re trying to skip the fried stuff. This dish doesn’t rely on breading or a deep fryer to get its flavor. But, of course, that doesn’t mean it’s fat-free. You can’t make shrimp scampi without the butter. Lots and lots of glorious butter. You can always enjoy the best of both worlds if you want a meal that isn’t all fried. Just create your own combo featuring Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, which is fried, and a serving of Garlic Shrimp Scampi. Done and done. If you’re following a low-carb or keto style of eating, then Garlic Shrimp Scampi is your new best friend. Not only does it feel like an indulgence, but a serving packs just six grams of carbs, so it’s an excellent main course for a healthier meal. "You cannot make a bad choice." But you don’t have to go all in on just the scampi to watch your carbs. At Red Lobster, there are plenty of low-carb sides to help you stick with your healthy lifestyle. Enjoy the scampi with a salad — hold the croutons — and broccoli as a delicious option. Red Lobster broccoli has 10 grams of carbs per serving, and the side salad also has 10 grams — with the croutons. Add a light dressing on the side, and you’ll create a feast with less than 30 grams of carbs. You’ll definitely be craving that shrimp the next time you’re in the mood to "Sea Food Differently."

Sounds like they make shrimp scampi almost like I do.
Not Mashed trying to tell me about “healthy” options in Red Lobster. Keto diet? How about the salt content. We know why really we go there and we love it

Really yummy stealth ad🤨😁🥰!
Garlic is one of the only things that is great for you and tastes butter. 🧄🦐
Worked at one as a kid for about 4 years. White Zinfandel, butter sauce, powdered garlic bread seasoning. That’s what’s in the mix.
The only thing good at Red Lobster are the biscuits. Everything else is basically the McDonalds of Sea Food.

I love garlic shrimp!
You are only suppose to have 36 carbs a day if you don't want to lose weight. This is 30 without the salad dressing for only one meal. I don't think I would push that angle.
Those cheddar bay biscuits should be outlawed; they are the equivalent of crack.
