
I followed the recipe closely but didn’t have mushrooms. I added some peas and carrots for some veggies. I followed the exact recipe for the marinade but it came out a little bland. Still very delicious! Has anyone else tried this recipe?

It’s probably bland because they don’t use salt in the [recipe](https://aaronandclaire.com/bulgogi-korean-bbq-beef/). Meat needs salt. Yeah, there’s salt in the their marinade components, but it’s not a lot if you’re only using a couple tablespoons for over a pound of beef. Also, a lot of that marinade isn’t absorbed into the meat, it’s left in the bowl.
I like seonkyoung longest’s recipe more. The flavor is much better.
I suggest you marinade overnight — and peas in bulgogi? that’s a bit sus. Also, I didn’t see muchrooms in the recipe?? Also, did you use minced meat?
I tried Aaron’s recipe and it was a disaster. I’m not much of a cook but the flavor was way too bland.
May have to try SKL’s recipe.
I wish Maangchi had a ground beef recipe.
