While for the granita you should know that sicilian granita should be creamy as a gelato… I don’t really think, based on the photo, that’s the case for your granita but maybe I’m wrong it seems too compact (did you just mix ice and lemon juice and blend everything? If yes than that’s not how granita should be done, at least not sicilian granita… it should be done like gelato with a mantecatura that, unlike gelato, cannot be stopped since there are no fat to prevent from freezing so once it’s done it should be eaten… at home I think the only good option is an icecream maker, manually you can get a good result but it is not worth it since you will need 6 hours mixing for 1-2 minutes every 30 minutes while the rest of the time it stay in the freezer and you cannot even store it….).
You can see on wikipedia how it should look like (just like gelato, but it’s lighter)…
Finally, but that’s just personal taste, I recommend trying with almonds, coffee, pistachio, chocolate, mulberries, personally speaking I find that lemon is the absolute worst flavor for granita.

I’m sorry but I don’t think this is right.
The brioche should be like this (if you don’t make it at least try to get this shape… when I look at a square brioche is just depressing…):

Still, if you liked it it was worth it.
Don’t store your herbs and spices in the light.
