Wen we moved in my family’s new house there was a in the ground grill i want to fix it up and use it I have worked on it and this is the before and after what would be the best way to remove the rust I can’t take pieces off

Season it like cast iron by polymerizing the oil onto it. Get a fire going and repeatedly apply thin coats of high smoke oil letting it cool in between coats.
