    As a note, I got it from a nursery as a seedling and didn’t harden it, which I’ve never had issues with in the past but have since read is important to do

    A little sun scald but it’ll be fine in my experience. Keep an eye on it though, provide shade if needed

    Yep. Too much sun too fast. Shouldn’t impact the overall health of the plant. That leaf and any like it will never recover but newer growth should be normal.

    Just like you’ve read, nursery plants should always be hardened off to the sun. Many seedlings and plants from nurseries have never had direct sun on them.

    Some pepper plants have purple in the leaves and it even varies in the same varieties.
