My thumbnail is right when lightening struck. It is completely dark outside when this was taken. We did get a storm but not like north of us. Heartbreaking. We do our weather videos to document our challenges along with many others here in North Texas. It affects our gardens and our farms more than many realize. How long will our food supply survive with wild weather changes? If it weren’t for our high tunnels we would have lost most of our crops to disease and wind. God has guided us.

4:30 in the morning guys something’s rolling through come on Hank let’s go in come on baby sorry I didn’t wouldn’t catch a o did you see that not really see anything on the radar but it’s always something that I get up for guys I’m never want a storm to roll through here without one of us being up wind’s picking up a bit and now I see it on the radar it was lagging a little bit it’s making a lot of noise and a lot of lightning guys rain so far just a little bit but boy it’s acting ugly we’re not under a severe thunderstorm watch or anything or warning I don’t know if the weather people are out of bed yet though oh yeah it’s making some noise and some fireworks maybe it’s just a normal thunderstorm and wouldn’t that be nice see Pop standing back there at his door seeing what’s going on he just closed his windows bag when that lightning strikes boy you can sure see how dark those clouds are above us we’re getting about some 30 mph gust nothing too bad I’m not sure this was supposed to roll through this morning we had a chance last night but uh yeah this Line’s coming in from the West the wind is starting to pick up a little bit you see my mulberry tree it’s not real heavy rain but it’s coming down still don’t have a severe thunderstorm warning and I’m wondering why that’s some pretty high winds very high winds oh yeah my goodness it’s enough to trigger poop SM sunlight back there where’s the warning guys where’s the warning not quite understanding I don’t know makes me wondering if it’s building right on top of us cuz it did it looked like we were just going to get the edge of it father please protect us please protect our high tunnels please protect those around us Lord please protect those east of us cuz it’s building watch over our farm Lord watch over our home take pop I think it’s dying down still getting a little bit of a light show and some rumbling here’s that 50 mph Gus guys I just saw in the video so yeah it did ramp up a little bit but look at this 104 mph winds of all time this year 2024 and now just rain calm has been restored now we’re getting some kind of out FL guys and I just saw that Cook County Texas which is about an hour and a half maybe 2 hours north of me up on in Denton County um on the Oklahoma border so any of my community members up there please check in oo look at the wind um had two deaths guys and it said a very large tornado I don’t know what the rating is yet but my goodness terrible terrible pray for those people the winds are now from the southeast so it is the outflow from that storm that moved through because the storm came in from the west and we had those West Winds and now they’re from the southeast that’s the view to the north wow to the West pretty crazy it’s about 6:14 right now in the morning see that Ripple on top of that high tunnel guys that’s why we have the inflated roof because when we get these storms these high winds hail storms that’s what it does it bounces it off and it takes a lot of the the brunt of the wind you can see on the little one too look at that sun coming up on the side of that wow there’s that sun rising angry Skies so you’ve heard of The Calm before the storm this is the calm after the storm boy hiding good morning everything looks okay in the little high tunnel got it opened up so it can start airing out see all those male flowers I got in there guys very few females dag naab it oh man the eggplants doing pretty good in here some good looking tomatoes in there look at this baby it’s bigger than the palm of my hand everything’s okay in the biging good gravy so guys I’m going to go ahead and close up this video um thank you for watching pray for those people up north of us such different different times I’m telling you these last three or four years they’ve really done a doozy on us hav’t they things are changing so rapidly so quickly and sometimes so violently so we love you all um I’ll be doing an update probably later on this afternoon or sometime tomorrow take care God bless be safe

  1. Find shelter and be safe. We went thru same storms 2 weeks ago in harris county texas. Were we were hit vy twisters that knocked out over 27 power starions. Turned it into twisted metal. Most still dont have power. We were out 5 days lucky to have generator. Thank you ni said harris county becuz all the citys in harris county were hit bad. 5 people dead.

  2. I was listening to my rain and thunderstorm sleep sounds, when I heard something strange. I turned off the sound, and to my surprise there was real thunderstorm, rain, and wind going on outside. I looked at my laptop weather app and checked out the radar. It was basically about past me. I looked down towards Hatchie and nothing was there yet, but I looked over towards y'all, and it was about to pull in there. I immediately started praying for y'all. I noticed my radar shows lightening strikes. There was a lot of activity down by y'all. I was glad to see this video when I got home from church while ago. ❤❤❤

  3. Thanks for the prayers God protected us and our property in Valley View. We are praying for those facing losses

  4. Oh-oh…..Those wires over your tunnel looks like it’s just hanging on…..take a look Jill, I could be wrong from this angle…

  5. I stayed up late keeping my eye out. I'm just east of Commerce, but the storms stayed north of me. Praise God.

  6. Good video. We were lucky last night we had a few tornadoes just south of town. Good to see you guys are ok. love yall

  7. It was SO awful in Denton and Cooke Counties last night. Not to mention the big tornado going through Oklahoma and NW Arkansas. I was watching MAX Velocity Weather YT last night. Something was “glitchy” off and on from the National Weather Services for providing Alerts.

MAX was pointing out possible circulations and storm directions before NWS came out with the Official Alerts. He was trying SO hard to get Viewers to call / text people / families / friends in the potential storm paths. MAX is a wonderful young man

  8. The dogs woke me up around 4 am…I let them out then back in. The storm hit here in Southern Dallas County around 5. Very intense lightning and thunder claps. So humid today. Stay safe. Praying for Cooke County residents. 5 souls at daylight, two girls missing. 💔

  9. Our son, and his family, took a direct hit last night in Valley View.

We were there an hour, or so, after they got hit and at that time there was word neighbors had been found in the field behind them, and were deceased.

We couldn't drive down to the RV park due to downed power lines and trees. I ran 2 miles from I-35 to them and as I was running a neighboring woman received word her house was gone entirely; she broke down and my heart hurt for her.

The devastation is horrendous and my heart breaks for my son, and his family, and all those that lost their homes, but more importantly the families that lost loved ones.

Our kids are here at the house now, and they're talking about last night and thankful they're just bruised and sore, and REJOICING their alive.

  10. Do y’all have a storm shelter? I don’t think think I could live comfortably in that area I’d the country without one. Your tomatoes are beautiful!
