Picked this up from Costco already seasoned. Can’t tell if the membrane is peeled off already or not. Appreciate your response!

Looks like a no bud. Grab a paper towel and see if you can grab that upper edge and see if you can peel one off🤷‍♂️

Stick a butter knife under that bitch and find out!

  3. Just score the membrane, works just as good as removing it completely and it’s way easier and faster

It’s still on and you can see where the butcher cut it for you to remove. I’m assuming a bad butcher did that.

Will never under stand why people remove the membrane

Personal preference is definitely off. The underside needs to be seasoned as well as top side. A complete flavor profile . I do not like fall off the bone ribs so once again no need to be on. If that’s your thing though leave it on. The bite is always better without. Like I said personal opinion.

I’m gonna say no. It looks too uniform.

You’ve already got good advice, but here I go anyway with my method:

    1. Make sure it’s dry.
    2. Take a butter knife and put it flat (parallel) to a bone and scrape up the bone. It should separate or pull up the membrane as a flap,so to speak.
    3. Use a paper towel to punch the membrane flap and give it a good yank. It should come clean off.
