[Music] Hello everybody welcome back to my Channel today we’re going to be making some buttermilk pancakes so let’s just jump right into it grab yourself a big bowl and in this bowl you’re going to add 1 and 1/2 cups of flour 1/4 cup of granulated sugar 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with a teaspoon of salt you’re going to whisk this up and set this aside while you go ahead and whisk up your egg whites you’ll see what I mean in a second for this recipe you are going to need one egg separated put the yolk to the side for now we’ll be focused on the whs now I definitely recommend using a hand mixer stand mixer for this process you’re basically just going to whip a bunch of air into these egg whites you’re not going to bring it all the way to stiff peaks but almost there you’ll see what I mean whenever I’m done this is going to make sure that your pancakes come on nice and Airy and fluffy see it’s just barely out of PE Peak but not there it’s more of like a foamy Peak now grab those dry ingredients and add in your egg yolk now you want to go ahead and add in a cup and a half of Buttermilk you could use any other milk I recommend buttermilk it just makes the pancakes taste the best a teaspoon to a teaspoon and a half of vanilla it’s really your preference and now you want to start mixing this up you want to be very careful to not over mix your batter I’m going to gently keep mixing until the flour is just about Incorporated but not there yet right before all the flowers finished being Incorporated I want to go ahead and add in those egg whites now you want to put the Whisk away because you don’t want to lose any of the air from those egg whites and you want to just start folding the rest of it in continue this process until you don’t see any more flour and until the egg whites are well Incorporated and then you want to let your batter sit for about 15 minutes before you go ahead and use it I personally prefer to make pancakes on a griddle I feel like I can get more pancakes out of the way right there you could also use a can if you’d like now you don’t have to butter your griddle if it’s seasoned or if it’s non-stick but I butter mine just because I like the extra butter taste to the pancakes you just want to go ahead and scoop out some of the batter once you see those bubbles start to come through your pancakes are ready to flip I’m going to go ahead and flip this one to see how they’re doing now this is how I like my pancakes if you like yours more well done then you can you can leave them on longer if you’d like but this is how me and my family like are so this is how I’m going to do it that’s pretty much it y’all I like to serve these with some butter and some maple syrup you guys have them however you’d like and enjoy and that’s it for today guys I know this recipe is a few more steps than your typical box mix but I totally recommend trying this it is so good and the pancakes come out so buttery and Airy and fluffy 10 out of 10 recommend I really hope you try these out for your family let me know what you guys think and I’ll see you guys next time goodbye [Music]
