I thought I had enough room for these mushrooms with a 9lbs bone in pork shoulder, I’ll be cooking this overnight on low I am wondering will these mushrooms be okay? Thanks I am new to cooking embarrassingly, so trying things out.

    Also I just read they will turn to a mush by10 hours mark so they should be fine I am thinking… mistakes happen:)

    I’d add them in the last half hour or so. That’s how I do it and they aren’t mushy.

  3. I’ll never understand cooking food in hot plastic. Heat significantly increases leaching of chemicals into food.

    Yes. It’s too full. Remove the bag and you should be fine.

    Your solids can pile up like that. They’ll cook down as they release moisture. You just don’t want the liquids to be too high to begin with because the moisture released by the solids can cause overflow.
