While it’s not chili pepper heat, this stuff has the strongest horseradish bite I’ve ever tasted.

This will absolutely clear your sinuses, but it’s also dang tasty. I had to stop eating a couple times and let the horseradish brain burn fade away before resuming.

I did pour about twice as much as I needed on the plate, I was trying to go for less but the bottle glugged and it’s what I got, so I tried valiantly to finish it all.

Yeh idk if capsazin heat & sinus torching are similar categories, but St. Elmo’s cocktail sauce is like a spotlight to the sinuses! Pretty good in the bottle, but even better fresh at the restaurant. Love it!

If you’re not calling this St. Elmo’s Fire then you’re dead to me.

I’m an Indianapolis native – we love the stuff. Pops up every now and then at gatherings and it’s always fun to hear people go “oh shit – that’s St. Elmo’s” as they regret the amount they loaded onto their shrimp. It’s great!

My mom has had an obsession with making every single piece of the dinner from scratch since she got her kitchen remodeled and started inviting us all over again

She made cocktail sauce from scratch for shrimp cocktail a few months ago. It was astonishing how much horseradish she put into it and how potent it was. No one else could stomach it. I practically drank half of it and took the rest home. I’ll have to try this.

The ingredients don’t have any peppers, am I missing something? Where’s the heat coming from?
