    Depends what you want to do.

    If you’re strictly doing low and slow pork should, ribs, brisket, and the like, the vertical options are great and usually impart more smoke and have more space.

    However, if you want to do things like chicken and pizza, the traditional grill is more versatile. It will do the same low and slow cooks (I use a smoke tube or two). I personally think pellet grills produce the absolute best chicken so if you’re into wings, thighs, whole chickens, etc., I’d recommend the Traeger or any traditional style grill.
