i bought this grass fed beef that claims to be 110 cal per 4oz serving (and almost no fat, only 1g of fat!)
it really didn’t have any marbling but is this still too good to be true? is it a case of the bad nutritional info box?

Hard to tell. From looking online, most sources I can find list it at ~45-70 calories per oz raw. So between 180-280 calories for 4oz.

I actually just got really curious about how they verify nutritional information for stuff like meat and read the very detailed legal policies on the FDA and USDA Organic Certification websites haha. You’re in the clear! The FDA says 100% grass fed lean steak should be about 117 calories per 4oz. The fact that yours is organic and the fact that the FDA example is an average of all cuts classified as lean probably explains the small discrepancy.
They process to get certified as organic (as Nature’s Promise is) is pretty elaborate and involves inspections, as well as being subject to an increased number of random, without warning spot checks to make sure they’re continuing to comply. So that’s how you know it’s legit! 🙂 Hope this helps!

OP, what store sells this brand if you don’t mind me asking?
