Hi I was experimenting with Agar Agar (vegan gelatin alternative) for my overnight oats to get more volume out of them.
I normally take 80g oats, 15g chia seeds and let them soak with 700-800g of water (multiple hour, but 30 minutes should also work). Please start with less water if your whey is not that liquid absorbing.
When you add a packet of Agar Agar in my case 10g that bind 500ml of water. Mix it into the oat chia soup. Than into the microwave for 700watt for at least 9 minutes (Agar Agar needs to get to boil one time)
Take it out and mix in your protein powder, after it cooled down a bit (10 minutes)
Mix in sweetener of choice. I use liquid zero kcal sweetener.
Let it sit until the next day (room temperature or fridge Agar Agar gets solid at under 35°C)
Eat with berries or nut butter in my case berrys.
You can also reheat it in the microwave. But watch out if it gets to hot it will be liquid again.
I do 2-3 minutes at 700watt. But you normally eat overnight oats cold so no need to mess things up 😉
