Just moved into a new house and need a grill. Saw this Genesis II S435 for $999 at Costco and saw online it runs for about $1500… I’m not crazy in thinking I should jump on this right? They have a E335 right next to it for $799, but idk it seems to make the most sense to just grab the S435.

They must have gotten a hold of some old stock – that’s the previous generation of the Genesis (same one I have) Current generation doesn’t have the iGrill3 mount (next to the side burner knob), and the sear burner is between the right two burners, not the left two.

I’d jump all over it. I paid $1,200 for my S335 four years ago.

Not crazy! Just imagine walking out in your backyard and seeing that waiting for you 😮‍💨

  3. I have this great. It’s a good investment and should last a good 10-15 years. No signs of rust anywhere after 4 years of ownership

I got a genesis ii for father’s day last year. It quickly became our favorite appliance. I believe we paid $1,400 and it’s worth every penny. We had it assembled and delivered which added like $80 but was well worth it as trying to put it together with a 5 year old and 1.5 year old would have been a PITA. For $1,000 it’s a steal. We host 6-8 adults + 4-6 kids a couple times a month (summer-fall) and the grill space allows for me to cook up enough stuff all at once.

  5. Why not just cook inside if you’re going to use gas?
