Last year the wife bought me a couple hungarian pepper plants. Shortly after, I bought 3 jalapenos and 2 banana peppers. Fast forward to this year. Never grew anything from seed or had a garden and now I have 85 pepper plants (10 of which I rehomed to friends) of 13 varieties and installed a garden.

Lmao I love this so much. You have more raised beds this year than you had peppers last year.

Me too. Grew 24 varieties. Et my first Fresno today. Excited to try datil, scotch bonnet, trepadeira warner, and a few aji varieties for the first time. It’s like there is a burning in your soul that forces you to grow more and more peppers. Then there is a burning in you mouth….and rump.

I’ve never really gardened before – it’s typically been my wife. Last year I made some hot sauce from some jalapenos she grew and it was delicious. I just finished installing 3 raised beds and 2 of them are full of pepper plants – 8 varieties, 28 plants. Next year I’ve got 2 dozen different varieties planned. Gonna need more raised beds.

nice now you need to add tomatoes, cucumbers and some herbs to make salsas and hot sauces!
