Ingredients :
1 carrot
1/2 onion diced
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 cups mushrooms sliced
1 lb Chicken cubed
3/4 cup pearled barely

well hello there and welcome again to my kitchen today i’ll be showing you how to make barley chicken mushroom soup it is very delicious so i hope you can continue watching and enjoying my video so to get started with the ingredients i have one carrot thinly sliced diced half an onion we will need one tablespoon of tomato paste we’ll need about two cups of mushrooms sliced not too thin we’ll need about a pound of chicken i diced it up and we’ll need about 3 4 cup of pearl barley so our first step is to boil barley pearl barley for 30 minutes and then we will throw in our chicken so we’ll go ahead and place the chicken i’ll just let that boil for another 30 minutes and we will saute the carrots in the onion until soft and until golden onion so as i put in the chicken it’s starting to boil so it needs to boil for 30 minutes you can go ahead now that it starts to boil we will put in the mushrooms and we’re just gonna let that cook for 30 minutes and until it’s all ready so now our veggies are cooked we’re gonna place in the tomato paste and since it’s so thick we’re gonna add a little bit of this water in here and we will just mix it up so go ahead and do that so just like that and let it shimmer a minute or so and you can turn it off and set it aside until ready to use so now that it’s been cooking for an hour of total we will now place this mixture inside the soup in the soup and we will let it boil for 30 seconds so this is what it looks like so now salt to your taste and you can use pepper and you can turn it off and your soup is ready so here it is delicious soup and you can garnish with a chopped parsley or dill and you guys can enjoy and you can dip with sour cream that’s the way i like it and throw in some crackers that’s the way i eat it but you guys enjoy and hopefully like this recipe like it if you do and subscribe to my youtube channel and comment i’ll be happy that’s to wonderful day

  1. This recipe was born after I had my daughter, she was colicky on most of the veggies and fruits I ate. So after many experiments, I found what works well and created this soup. Not just soup. Healthy soup 🙂
