the moment of truth is this the best Bak laava I ever made in my life Bak laava me look at this now that’s a beautiful Bak laava my guy the other day I had bak laava and I felt in my head I was like wow the time I was buying Baka which I do love the places that sell baklava but I want to give it a try because $50 a kilos may be a little expensive for baklava let’s make some baklava let me show you how easy this to make it Baka all right let’s start off this my friend is pistachio grind up pistachio so it’s not that green just because there was a shell around the coating of the pistachio and I didn’t want to take out the shell just because it was toasted and roasted ready it was caked on so I was just like whatever let’s just grind it up and we got this but you can always get good quality pistachio at any middle easan or Turkish um places this I got it at Costco what’s up Costco I’m going to do 2 tbsp of white sugar this is my twist my take on Bak laava right I know there’s going to be more sugar on top but this is just my little twist of my take on it just enhance everything some nutmeg teaspoon teaspoon of cinnamon let’s work this in and let’s save some money all right on baklava because $50 a kilo holy for baklava I ain’t going to hate or anything delicious everything’s easy just buy and just bring home and eat it but you can make it at home and save some money right we’re all about saving money this year okay let’s go nice and mix this is fough so this fough has been already made all we’re going to do chop it right in half now it’s just the suling process suing process you got melted butter or clarified butter here butter at the bottom all around a piece of our felo do don’t worry if it’s breaking cuz we’re going to do 10 stacks of layers okay so fough butter some may say hold on you don’t need to butter every sheet I say yes you do all right you do whatever you want to do all right it’s my B but it tastes better it’s more crispy and crunchier man this feel a little lots of holes in it lots of holes in them so butter we’re going to do do 10 Stacks okay 10 Stacks then we’re going to do the filling okay once we have our 10 stack pistachio right in the middle you want to do a nice even layer okay don’t overdo it with the pistachio just cuz we always going to do a Topper a pistachio That’s it man look how easy this is $50 a kilo crazy right not hating but to make it at home my friend let’s hit this up with another 10 stack filo don’t worry about if it breaking it’s okay it’s not end of the world right just chill to the next episode butter my friend 10 more stacks of phoo at the end of all this it’s all just going to come together nicely all right so don’t worry about it ripping and tearing don’t lose sleep over it just chill for the next episode we got 10 layers at the bottom we got a nice crusty top on top and we got 10 layers of filo on top and a stick of butter congratulations ladies and gentlemen we saving money so all we doing now taking one of these press down you can pretty much make any shape you please I’m going to try go for a diamond have not worked this all out in my head but hopefully hopefully it comes out like a [Music] diamond man is it coming up I don’t know let’s just hope all right this is Hope beautiful I got like this cut it down guys help me out here my first buck L it’s cut it down like this looks good looks good let’s go there it [Music] is should I cut it how should I cut it now like this yes I think we’re good my friend I think we’re good okay I’ve been preheated at 350 and we just toss it in for 25 minutes lastly let’s make a nice simple syrup 1 liter of water two cups sugar boil this up for 20 minutes here it is my friend this is Bava I’m going to let this cool out for about 5 minutes then we going to throw in our syrup all right this is our simple syrup here it’s been cooling as well look at the consistency it’s just sugar but for added bonus we’re going to do some honey okay maybe 4 tbspoon of good liquid honey I’m going to work this in might twist my tck on it all right look at this it’s beautiful with hints of Honey nice nothing to it now K you gang man can I spread my honey over your baklava come on let that soak in see you in 30 minutes all right just like this soaking here we go 30 minutes in Bak laava complete little dust on top we’ll call it a day my friend if you don’t want the dust on top I cannot do I can’t I can’t untake it it used to be $5 now $50 a piece cuz I put the dust on it ladies and gentlemen homemade Baka less than 10 minutes to make the moment of truth is this the best B I ever made my life let’s give it a try ladies and gentlemen B Lai look at this now that’s a beautiful Bak laava my gu that’s beautiful let me set you up my friend there it is $50 black lover all right that’s it oh a 69 all right ladies and gentlemen Bava look how beautiful that is we could put some more ice cream but I’m kind of on a diet right now so we can’t eat that much ice cream ice cream would be awesome with this but look at this everybody together come on in come on in for this like at this everybody [Music] shh crispy top okay I need the sugar to soak in a bit more let’s try this why I even eat the knife super pump for this wait bite on this first yeah got [Music] nice the perfect amount of sweetness not too sweet it’s just perfect oh man some places make it very sweet m not too sweet is the best the best M compliment any Asian can give you when it comes down to dessert not too sweet I say homeade is way better you know what goes inside I’m not saying oh not saying that people kind of jip you off of it but the honey in this makes it I just want to pick it up and bite it so crispy super pump for this homade is better made is better flaky buttery crust not too sweet honey I say honey because I put got honey in there essence of honey and the fillings is perfect it Mellows out everything you don’t need that much sugar why do some places put a lot of sugar I don’t know another bike m I want my wife to try to see what she thinks everybody my wife so good feeling handmade homemade a homemade yeah yeah homemade you put a lck u nuts pachio see homemade is always better because you can just adjust and twist and take for your liking so good delicious is it sweet very sweet no there it is it’s perfect that’s delicious right look at the feeling oh oh man it just needs to sit for a few more days not a few why I say a few more days but it just needs to sit for maybe an hour because it’s been sitting for 30 minutes and it’s just going to be perfect it’s nice and warm about what makes it nice and warm look how beautiful it is my wife’s like how did you make it I like it’s so simple I usually never bake and this is the first thing I ever baked really in like a very long time and it came out perfect you guys got to try this right save some money

Baklava is so good, this is a quick and easy version. You have to put the syrup over the baklava while it I still hot though, it seeps onto the layers faster and you need to let it sit for longer. Looks wonderful though

You can also add orange blossom water for a different flavor and add that to the nut mixture
Also you should try to make the flower or roll design
Homemade is the best : you can adjust the amount of sweetness
but it does not become with cinnamon:D

Best Baklava. My mum makes it. However, Baklava has to be warm and the syrup has to be cooled or baklava cold and syrup hot before you mix the. Do not have them both too hot otherwise it will get soggy. The syrup is also usually much lower viscosity close to that of water. Then the important part. after the syrup is on the baklava, cover it with foil and leave it out the fridge hidden somewhere for 1 week or more. My mum has made baklava almost 1 month in advance before. It doesn't go bad because the sugar syrup acts as a strong preservative. My mum says the longer you leave it the better it tastes. It does not go soggy don't worry.

well i can say as a Tukish I must say that in its sherbet, only sugar is boiled with water and there is no honey in it. Also, if you put some cream on it while serving, you will double or triple its taste.๐
