🢃🢃🢃🢃
My lighter version. Now keep in mind, apples are higher in carbs however they are loaded with fiber so if you are doing net carbs this may very well work perfectly as a low carb treat for you! On Weight Watches, this is a homerun!

6 servings
3 large Apples of your choice peeled and diced.
1 tsp lemon juice
Mix the below together and top the apples.
1/4 c light melted butter
1/4 C flour or quick oats
2-3 tbsp Stevia brown sugar

Coat an 8×8 casserole dish and bake at 425 for about 45 minutes uncovered.

Macros will vary greatly depending on what you use but feel free to customize it to your plan. this dish could be very Weight Watchers friendly.

My plan: 🢃
I eat low carb living a low carb lifestyle! I used to do Weight Watchers for over 5 years however I switched over to low carb as I find it a more managable way of eating for the rest of my life. As a result of this change Ive continued to lose weight and lower my blood sugar after learning I was pre diabetic. My fat numbers are not too high and not at a keto level although some meals could be considered keto meals. Here is my low carb eating plan that I track through carb manager. I do not count anything other than carbs and it works for me.
Max of 30 carbs per meals
Max of 15 carbs per snack
I do NOT count anything else
I find all the other macros fall into place if I hit at or below my low carb numbers.

My NEW cookbook is available!

hi I am Lany of course you know my name cuz I’m always it’s called L but my real name is Ela but so we’re making apple pie and I have a you know what this everybody knows candy cane and anyway Grandma how do we open this candy cane yeah I’ll open it lady did you turn on the camera a lot just melt that then yeah okay my daughter Cameron is here you want to say hi Cameron hi here hi she wasn’t prepared she didn’t think we were going to be videoing no so that’s my oldest daughter Cameron she’s 34 and you guys have met Paige a bunch of times by the way Paige said thank you so much to everyone who loved her coffee recipe that is my absolute favorite all right anyway and if you don’t know what that is I will link it in the description box it’s wonderful so Cameron’s specialty is this apple crumble so she’s showing us how to make it Paige wants it for tonight um as we go through this I will give you ways that you can lighten it up because this is not going to be the light version but it’s really easy to turn it into a lighter version it’s delicious so what we have here is three apples that we peeled and I just used my Chopper to get them all cut up evenly Cameron’s putting sugar you don’t have to overdo it uh sugar cinnamon a little bit of flour and there should be lemon juice but we don’t have lemon juice okay so sugar you’re going to do and a little bit of salt two tablespoons probably in Pages yeah okay so she’s got a bunch of cinnamon in there do cinnamon to whatever you like the 2 tablespoon of sugar sub itute that with stevia Truvia urethral whatever you like that’s one to one just know that she did 2 tablespoons of plain table sugar and then how much butter are you melting a lot AR you Paige likes the crumble she likes heavy crumble topping so she’s doing a lot of butter because she’s going to have heavy crumble topping okay so what would you say I would say this is four tablespoons okay so cam that’s a little over four sh that’s like a little bit over half a SP a butter she just used okay all right so what would you say Cameron somebody could substitute that butter to lighten it up would you say I mean you could probably use like a I don’t like I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter but you could probably do a light butter all right your call everyone on the butter I make a gluten-free dairyfree version of this that tastes the same and I don’t think that the dairyfree butter taste any different when it’s baked dairyfree butter okay all right good idea and gluten free like flour one to one okay sorry my my daughter Cameron oh is that my daughter Cameron just found out so Paige has cromes you guys know that my daughter Cameron just found out that she early onet yeah early onset Crohn’s for her too but she’s doing a really good job controlling it with diet um gluten-free dairyfree has been working and Paige has hers pretty well into remission as well M so taste one and see if you want more cinnamon I think it’s fun all right so good Cameron what was the oven preheated to did you tell them 375 all right oh those apples were the pick good what kind did you get red delicious no I got um Cosmic Envy Johnny gold EnV yeah so the Envy apples are very very sweet yeah not tart I love that it’s not like um I mix apples a lot though I do Granny Smith and red we’re going to chat here and get this going I’ll show you the next step spray this pan cage with a nonstick and this is going in it and this is about 8 by8 do you have like regular like all right so we sprayed the glass baking dish and I would say that this is about 8 8 by 8 8 by 9 something like that yeah maybe 8 by9 right in that range and like I said three Big Apples here’s the what I was trying to show you I like using this because then your apples are even diced and you don’t have some apples that are cooked a little bit more than others all right so a cup of flour which normally you don’t do that much right C Cameron not normally yeah you could easily do a half a cup on that Paige wants heavy crumble a lot of cinnamon Paige yeah you know the crumble portion is really your call on this you could even do oats if you want wanted to another thing you could do to bring that down a little bit is maybe almond flour Cameron’s over here whispering to me that that is a lot of flour but Paige is requesting heavy on the crumbles we keep saying that it’s just heavy heavy paig is requesting heavy Paige has also requested heavy on and because Paige is requ testing heavy on we won’t say that anymore it’s her it is her treat meal you know that’s all that it is she’s she’s taking a little repri um I need brown sugar okay where’s that now on the brown sugar you could do the stevia brown sugar I have that I just bought some more of that no sugar brown sugar yeah the low sugar brown sugar we’re using the light brown sugar Cameron you’re not measuring no I what would you guess that was couple tablespoons no I’m going to add more I would say probably 34 a cup for pige to the flour for me yep for me well heavy heavy on the crumble yeah but you know what you could do it you yeah and you could do you could definitely do less can somebody go get my out of the tub Auntie Paige get bab real quick Paige you honestly might need another stick of butter if you really want this heavy mmy baking powder anyways can I candy what babe have a candy you’ve already had ice cream more please you had chocolate Blue Bell a lot of it and we’re making apple apple dessert meas this so this is really I’m going to KY want me to go like another half about to find out all right so Cameron put the butter in the brown sugar and the flour and the cinnamon was there cinnamon in there no yes yes and then she’s going to get that all mix through and just pour that over the top that looks really good smells really good and then how long are we baking that oh it’s a small one maybe 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly okay so you don’t cover the top no okay all right we’ll get it in the oven we’ll show you when it’s done and also Paige doesn’t mind extra toasted this on the top you want to taste the crumble page no do you mix it through Cameron or just top no you just top it okay and the apple crumble is always better the second day oh yeah once the crumbles had time to absorb so we’ve been we’ve had this for Thanksgiving my birthday Christmas everybody loves it light light pack oh you look great s you didn’t specify on the packing get a side shot of that look at the [Music] yummy who is texting me oh that looks so good all right so that cooked about 30 minutes you think that’s done I’d like to to see it bubbling it doesn’t have any of the lemon juice that’s why it’s definitely hot that looks [Music] good I don’t know if that’s a good shot or not [Music] [Music] M yummy [Music]

  1. Look forward to making this… Thank you and love your chopper!! I love Cosmic apples!! great way to use up apples too!!

  2. Your granddaughter is beautiful just like you and your daughters! What fun to be cooking with both your girls making good memories. ❤ The Apple Crisp looked so good! Sorry to hear that Cameron was dx with Crohn’s but glad she’s got it under control and that Paige is in remission. 🙏

  3. I’ve had my ulcerative colitis in remission for 13 years going gluten and dairy free. Had a gastroenterologist argue that I didn’t have UC if it was in remission without meds. Didn’t go back.

  4. My twin daughters (age 37) both suffer from crohn's disease but do control it mostly with diet. Apple crumble looks delicious!
