Ingredients:

For the Beef Soup
500g beef
1 medium onion
1 thumb ginger
1 beef cubes
4 cups water ( add more if needed)

For the Beef Stew
3 cloves garlic minced
1 medium onion ( finely chopped)
1 tbsp. minced ginger
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 pcs. star anise
2 pcs. bay leaves
oil for cooking
