[Music] hey guys okay so you’re not ever going to see the kitchen at this angle ever again I just wanted to give you a whole hang on all right want to give you an idea of how big it is it’s it’s bigger than I could ever imagine so this is the new kitchen uh let’s see there’s the stove my movers broke uh there’s the fridge my Mo my movers had all dinged up and damaged uh here’s look you thought I got rid of the wash and dryer it’s back in here that’s the washer and dryer they banged up uh and smashed and if you don’t know what I’m talking about um my mover is destroyed every appliance that I brought from California they damaged it all um if you want to follow that story join me on Facebook Google+ or Twitter I’ve been giving updates about how they’re handling this situation uh let’s see if they’re going to try and do this well we’re going to prate your stuff and anyway doesn’t matter I’m still paying on this stove this is brand new you guys remember I just got this right well it’s all bent and twisted and broken so we’re going to do the best we can with it though cuzz the oven part I think is still working we’ll find out in a few minutes but for right now let’s talk positive stuff the positive thing is this I have a new kitchen I have my apron back I don’t have my hat yet I’m looking for my new yellow hat uh it’s packed away uh I’m going to be picking winners everybody’s going to get their shirts and aprons I so excited cuz I’m back in my groove again I got my knife I got my cutting board it just it Fe it’s all my stuff I’m just geeked so it’s time to get back in full speed on the show so this is what we’re doing you guys remember I went to the Macy’s competition uh Macy’s looking for like the grilling Guru well I won second place I lost to a salmon dish well it seems that the person who won in Seattle couldn’t make it to the finals in New York so Macy’s calls and says hey you’re the runner up cuz you’re second place why don’t you go to New York uh to represent the Pacific Northwest cuz I’m California boy and that’s when I submitted uh so anyway I’m going to the finals I’m going to be cooking my mom’s uh beautiful grilled teriyaki short ribs if you don’t know that recipe it’s on the channel now let’s get down to business in celebration of that loss uh I’m doing salmon dishes we are going to do three in a row of quick and easy salmon dishes they’re all completely different flavors I I couldn’t decide which one I thought you know what let’s just get into some salmon uh that’s the the dish that beat me I’m going after it so we’re going to do them right now come in close and I’ll show you exactly what we’re going to do today okay super easy you got fresh thyme got Dill bay leaves heavy whipping cream and salmon filets now remember to preheat your oven to 400 before you even start this recipe or you can do it right now it doesn’t really matter get a baking dish put your Salmons in here I hope they’re all going to fit I think they will yes I think they will beautiful all right next thing you’re going to do you going to place a bay leaf on each one I’m going to do an extra one here like that okay now the recipe says to pour the heavy cream on and then put your seasoning on top of that uh I’m going to do something a little bit different I’m going to kind of AD Li this move that off to the side I’m going to take my seasoning and who knows this may not be the best way to do it I don’t care I want the seasoning all throughout with the cream so I’m going to mix it up then I’m going to pour it on give that a little if you’re too lazy to get a mixing spoon which I am I don’t even know where my spoons are oh I know where they are I’m still getting used to where what drawer has what it’s so funny get it all nice and mixed in the heavy cream pour it all on top make sure everything gets coated really nice with the seasoning there we go okay so you’re going to bake this approximately 15 minutes at 400° or with the touch of a fork uh this will thicken up the cream and then the fish will be flaky okay so let’s bring this out let’s get it in right now first and then we’ll bring it out we’ll take uh take a look at it I don’t think it thickened up enough I’m going to test this little piece what do you think think it cooked enough I don’t know not feeling it I think I put it back in for 5 10 more minutes all right so I put it in for another 5 minutes so let’s go pull it out right now yeah see that’s what I’m looking at see the cream on top now it’s getting a little thick you could smell all the herbs that’s what I needed five more minutes I’m going to adjust the recipe down below don’t worry the recipe that’s in the description box will be the proper recipe that I used on the show how’s that look that look good let’s see if it’s flaky now here’s how you can tell you going to take it and just kind of cut I’m going to try and cut the other direction so you guys can see look see how flaky it is now look it’s got levels and layers and that’s how it’s supposed to cut just like that good thing I put it back in cuz now it’s fully cooked beautiful okay so first of all I want to thank you guys for hanging in there uh with me during the move you guys were amazing you were supportive uh we held it together huh all right here we go first dish in my kitchen something that scares me something I lost to salmon M wow wow what a way to start the new kitchen yep that extra 5 minutes this is flawless I don’t think I’ve ever cooked salmon this good I should go back to Seattle and compete again with this but I got a grill so I’m going to New York to do the grilling uh at the M competition um follow me on Facebook follow me on Google+ and Twitter I’ll be posting the whole time in New York all right in the meantime enjoy this dish and I’ll see you on the next episode of cooking with [Music] Jack

Isnt it better when you put all the cream in first and then the salmon? because its getting under the salmon and maybe make it a bit better :/

No salt? Must have been bland.
It's scary how exactly your kitchen looks like mine. I even have the same faucet. But, I'm selling my house now.
No salt.?
god this shit is making me so fucking hungry :[
Definitely gotta get yourself a Nashville Predators hat, Jack. Their team colors are yellow!
For your next product review you should do jiffy fries fries you can make in the microwave please try
I was about to say! You're so far away Jack LOL. And you got an island so you don't have to use a table every time when filming
Aw Jack. The appliance news is just so sad. DARN MOVERS! Always bustin' things up on people!
I am so diggin' the new kitchen dude! NIce and new and sparkly! Can I come over and help ya make a mess in it?
Weird, but I've been on a, "I want to make salmon.", kick for three days now and lookin' for a number of ways to make it, so your vid has filled in a missing link for me just in time. Going to give it a shot this Friday or Saturday.
Best of luck in the Macy's contest Jack! I'll be across the river in the Ramapo Mtn.s cheerin' for ya dude!
New kitchen looks great. I hope the moving company compensates you for the damaged appliances & furniture…
Would this work with frozen salmon? After it is defrosted.
Jack, you should review Jiffy Fries! http://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Fries-Step-French-Cutter/dp/B009W69VP8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403659197&sr=8-1&keywords=jiffy+frie

glad you're settling in jack!
That kitchen looks awesome! Love the new digs. Your finally home!!!
Don't trust other people to move your stuff ever. Move it yourself so you don't have to deal with this type of stuff. At least this move will be a long term one.
hi
Big fan of your show Jack. Its exciting knowing you live relatively near me. I live in Murfreesboro lol welcome to the south
Nice kitchen! But I miss the old colorful one.
Where's the salt and pepper?
Do you think this would be good with a different type of fish? I don't like salmon.
Jealous of your kitchen!
If your comfortable could you give us a tour of your house cause at your old house we only ever got to see the kitchen
That looks like a nice Kitchen it is a shame about your appliances.
I am really happy to see you in your new kitchen! I can imagine how you must feel now :-)!
what state do you live in now jack?
You need to pull the pin bones jack. are you trying to choke someone to death
you forgot to pull the bones jack
I know you probably mentioned it at some point in the show, but why did you move from Cali? Was it too expensive by any chance? I just moved here to the Bay Area from Texas myself.
You really love to complain jack
awesome kitchen!!!
Wow your kitchen is so big and beautiful!
Sweet kitchen, Jack.
I hope you do a new intro to the show once you've settled in!
Playing catch up on the vids. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL new kitchen, Jack!
are those farm raised or wild salmon and is there a difference in flavor?
Thanks for the link Jack to this video sorry I missed it. I didn't see it in my subscriptions. I look forward to see more videos of you in the new kitchen.
Try roasted wild salmon with fresh rosemary and pink himalayan salt (available at Trader Joes for 1.99) w/ grilled or steamed asparagus and roasted garlic mashed roasted cauliflower (no margarine, use butter or an organic soy-free butter substitute) amazing and super healthy.
Jack, when you using a cutting board put a damp cloth under it so while cutting your ingredients up it is a lot safer… Also when you are seasoning meats or seafoods put the seasons on one side of the meats and put the season side down in the pan so you can season the other side of meat or seafood…
About to cook this dish! I will keep you posted… :} BTW love the kitchen…;}
moving company's usually hit you with a 60 cents per pound insurance so if it weighs 100 pounds your only getting 60 bucks even if the oven was $1,000.
I want to know how many judges he bribed when he got second place I mean the guy makes fun of his own stuff everything's out of cans and bottles
Yummmmmm cream and salmon soup
