Let’s make a beach sandwich for the last day of summer

Not ready for summer to be over 🥲 but since it’s still warm here in LA, this was probably my last beach day ft. my sister and snacks. Eating only tomatoes and stone fruit as much as I can before they disappear from the market, and you don’t really need a recipe for the sammie but here it is!!

Easiest Miso Butter Tomato Sandwich (for 3-4 humans)
⊹ 1 heirloom tomato
⊹ bread of choice
⊹ 2-4 tbsp miso butter (recipe on the blog)
⊹ alfalfa sprouts
⊹ cucumber
⊹ salt & pepper
⊹ high quality olive oil

To make it:
① Slice bread in half lengthwise and spread miso butter on one side of your sandwich bread. Slice tomatoes and pat dry with a paper towel or kitchen linen. Layer on top of the miso butter and season with salt and pepper.
② Add a generous amount of alfalfa sprouts and thinly sliced cucumbers, finish with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper and close it off! Slice into 3-4 pieces.
