[Music] going to smoke me a Fatt and brisket I got my barbecue shoes welcome to bbqpitboys.com today we’re going to cook up some barbecue meatballs they real easy to do all right you got to select yourself some good ground beef and here I’ve got about 4 lbs of ground chuck all right let’s put this recipe together for these barbecue meatballs you’re going to need one diced or small chopped onion all right and here I’ve got one [Music] egg now the Egg of course is going to help bind everything together here I’ve got uh two cloves of minced garlic got to have the garlic right and we’re also going to add some garlic powder just about a half a teaspoon the combination of the fresh garlic and garlic powder is good this now of course you’re going to need some salt and pepper here I’m going to put about a teaspoon of fresh ground black pepper corn and about a half a teaspoon of uh ground salt or whatever salt you got now to also help bind this we’ve got some Parmesan cheese and we’re going to put about 1/4 cup in there and here I’ve got some breadcrumb I’m going to put about a/4 Cup in there as well all right oh yeah and then we’re going to give it a good mix I don’t need to show you that all right now to get the consistency see we want here we’ve got some milk and we want it um we want the meat with enough moisture for the long cook all right ground beef has been mixed up good and here we want to make it into meatballs of course and this is about the perfect size and you can see how everything binds together oh yeah just [Music] perfect now we got to make a bunch of these and you know about that [Music] right yeah all right the meatballs have been made now for the last ingredient we need some sauce and here I’ve got some uh barbecue pit boy sauce um but you want to use your favorite sauce all right something off the shelf or something you make or uh or one of ours whatever you do your favorite sauce all right now let’s sear these meatballs and uh that’s kind of simple you want to sear uh both sides you don’t want to overcook them and we’re doing it over medium heat oh yeah you look good now you only sear of course for a few minutes that’s the whole idea you don’t want to cook them through you’re going to be cooking these in the sauce so what we’re after here is the texture and the flavor of the grill right now we’ll pull them off throw them right back in this pan oh yeah can you smell that it smells good yeah now of course this recipe is all about the sauce all right and uh so we’re going to take this sauce pour it all over these meatballs it’s good enough to eat already you know what I mean now we’re cooking indirect so we’ve got it Opposite the hot coals temperature about 350° in there and we’re going to be simmering for about an hour oh yeah oh yeah take a look at that you hungry or [Music] what you can see that sauce is cooked down a bit man got to make myself a sandwich with this now any good sandwich has to have real good bread right yeah so I’m going to take three of these meatballs and pile on here because we’re makinging a meatball [Music] sub want to pour a little bit more of that sauce on [Music] there here I’m going to shred on some cheese of course use your favorite cheese here I’m using some fresh provalone [Music] now we’re going to take this and throw it back on the grill indirect cuz what we want to do is toast it right melt that [Music] cheese this is how you make a meatball sub and through the miracle of time W that cheese is melted bread is toasted we’re just going to throw a little more sauce on top you know what I say it’s time to [Music] eat oh baby man now I’m sure you know nothing goes better with a meatball sub and an ice cold [Music] beer and as always I do apologize for eating in front of you like this but this here is pitm [Applause] privilege so the next time you’re looking for a recipe for your barbecue do check out bbqpitboys.com
