Are these looking like trinidad scorpions? I’m happy to be growing them regardless so I don’t really care but hoping to get some insight. Also, my reaper is starting to get quite a few fruit on it and they look mean.

Scorpions are the most beautiful peppers, in my opinion. Like shiny plastic, molded into lovely curvy folds

I have had scorpion ‘crosses’ look exactly like that (as in, grew a scorpion plant outside with lots of other peppers, collected the seeds, planted a “scorpion” seeds, got several plants that made fruit which looked like that).
So could just be a habit, or could be that cross. Obviously no idea what the ‘cross’ was but maybe just an instability in scorpions?
My ‘cross’ did look a bit like a hab (I have grown habs, but not those years so it was a hab cross), but with a bit of a tail and more red than yellow fruit (odd red-orange fruit). But they were near reaper hot when I or others ate the fruit, and peculiar in that they made people’s teeth hurt, like cavity pain. Unfortunately all the seeds from the ‘cross’ were inviable, and thus died the “tooth fairy” pepper strain.
I am excited that you might have something similar, but if so they might be real warm.

It can be hard to tell sometimes. In my experience, sometimes Chinense peppers that are supposed to have tails or a bell-shape won’t grow those features. It’s also possible that this might be a cross. A lot of places do not protect well against cross-pollination and you can end up with seeds that are from hybrid strains without the seller knowing.
