Sorry for poor photo quality.

I love onions, but I feel like I'm not worthy because I maybe go through 2 a week? I have a mild intolerance to garlic (I can use it, but I have to be pretty light with it), and so far onions seem OK, but I don't want to push it because they're both alliums. Anyway.

I got an extra red onion with my grocery order and I don't want any of these to go bad. We're in the middle of a heat wave here, so I've been exhausted and don't feel like cooking. I don't really have time in the mornings to do more complicated recipes, so avoiding the heat while cooking isn't an option. But, aside from that, does anybody have any recipes? Preferably some that are OK to go in the freezer for later? I'm vegetarian and also lactose intolerant, so vegan ideas only. Tbh, I've been wondering about pasta dishes that are onion-heavy.

The reds should be OK for another week or so, so it's not an absolute emergency, but because of the heat (we don't have central AC), my produce that's normally OK outside the fridge has been going bad quickly (rip tomatoes… 🙁 ), so maybe I should use these up this week.

But yeah, give me some ideas! I'm kind of burnt out on cooking and burnt in general, so I feel sort of overwhelmed looking at these (even though I love them).

I’m a vegetarian too and one of my favorite go-to easy & quick dishes is to stir fry some soy mince, boil some black rice, and then mix it all with plenty of chopped onions, chili peppers, and a tablespoon or two of Lao Gan Ma.

Very tasty, very easy, quite healthy, and low in calories 🙂

    Do you eat onions alone?

Do you need onions to fall asleep?

Do you hide onions around the house?

Do you eat onions to escape reality?
