Found one of my tomato plants in my raised garden bed toppled over and out of the ground 😭 it looks like it was eaten from the base of the stem, about half of the plant is gone

A rodent. Squirrel, chipmunk, groundhog, rat, prairie dog, something like that.

Rodent. Get it in water fast. You should be able to replant it in a week. I have a terrier to keep the rodents away from my tomatoes 🍅

I’m gonna go ahead and guess cutworms. Specifically because you said it was cut at the base. [Here is a link.](https://extension.umn.edu/yard-and-garden-insects/cutworms) You can also use diatomaceous earth (DE) and also Bacillus Thuringiensis (BT), in addition to what the article describes. Both are natural.

In my experience, a jerk rabbit that can’t figure out what it likes to eat and just comps down plants. I lost nine tomatoes just chomped off not even eaten. I guess that jerk needed nine tries to figure out it doesn’t actually eat tomatoes after eating almost half the green bean and sunflower sprouts. That was my reminder to get a garden fence up for the season faster than what I was actually moving.
On the brighter side you might have a chance of what is left in the ground actually continuing to grow. You could also try to grow the chomped off plant too.
