I tried the Keto diet before, but it didn’t work out due to my circumstances. Now, I’m much better prepared and can stick to it long-term. I do meal prep and used this recipe as a rough guide since it’s something I can eat every day (OMAD) for a while. To add more volume, I included mushrooms and a head of cabbage. To balance things out, I doubled the olive oil, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and heavy whipping cream. However, my macros still aren’t matching up. I end up with 54% fat, 29% protein, and 16% carbohydrates. Keep in mind, this doesn’t include the carbs from the cabbage, broccoli, or zucchini, which are supposed to be 'Keto-friendly,' but cabbage actually has more carbs than you’d expect. (If you'd like to take a look at the exact numbers)

Beef Stir Fry (Makes 5 Servings at 897 kc and 54%, 29%, 16%)

  • Olive Oil, 8 tbsp
  • 80/20 Ground Beef, 1 lb
  • Diced Onions, 340 g
  • Garlic, 45 g
  • Mushrooms, 226g
  • Zucchini, 1 Whole
  • Broccoli, 340g
  • Cabbage, 1 Whole
  • Cream Cheese, 112 g
  • Shredded Cheese, 112 g

The final product looks almost inedible:

What can I do to go from: 54%, 29%, 16%

To at least a: 70%, 20%, 10%

Or ideally: 80%, 15%, 5% ?

Stop worrying about percentages and just count macros. Add more meat and stop trying to add so much fat.

I have never had stir fry with cream, or cream cheese (seems kind of yucky to me.) And why all of that oil?
