I’ve been meal prepping for my significant other (primarily) since the beginning of 2023, and I figured it was about time to share all of the pictures.

    Some notes:

    * All of the pictures have the main dish(es) listed (and recipes/ingredients, on the first instance of any particular dish).

    * Most meal preps come with some side veg (almost always frozen veg). You may think this is boring, but it’s what my SO wanted. They wanted to eat more vegetables and to focus on eating just a few of these meal preps a day instead of snacking on calorie-dense but nutritionally-absent things like chips or eating too much because the food was not pre-portioned. I’ve found that frozen vegetables also make my life as the prepper much easier, so I have no qualms with this as long as they’re fine with it.

    * Most of the meal preps were made for my SO, but there are a few that I also made for me (commonly: soups, butter chicken, Greek roasted veg, miso soup and rice, etc). I included those as well, though a lot of the meal preps I made for myself I didn’t take pictures of.

    * My SO does not work a high-intensity job, so they usually eat about 2 of the meal preps a day plus fruit and sometimes baby carrots. I also tend to cook again later in the week (most meal preps were made on Sunday), so sometimes they will have some of the dish I made later in the week as a supplement for the meal preps.

    * I don’t worry too much about macros for the meal preps. I instead focus on 1) some good source of protein; 2) some source of carbs (note: for the BBQ chicken and similar, this was often store-bought buns, not always pictured); and 3) vegetables where I could shove them in. I’m also a pretty busy person, so I tend to go with pretty easy options when I can, since I can only afford to spend a few hours Sunday afternoon meal prepping.

    * One way I make meal prepping easier is by doing a “pre”-prep on Saturday (things like- cooking a whole chicken, or cooking beans in my instant pot, etc). This makes Sunday go much more smoothly and takes significantly less time.

Feel free to ask questions, and I will do my best to answer!
