What!? Nooo. Taco Mex had great carnitas and carne guisada. Did they move somewhere else?

After 20 years of eating taco mex weekly, couldn’t be more bummed that a different taco place isn’t going in.

Taco Mex was an effing treasure.

Well that’s not a terrible name.

Drove by it today and wrongly assumed it was a pizza joint

I met the owners yesterday. Nice group of guys who were obviously excited about the place and couldn’t stop grinning. This is their first restaurant hence the lack of an online presence.
They envision a neighborhood spot serving burgers, pizza, wings and some Mexican food. Nothing fancy or experimental. Just a hole in the wall serving familiar favorites.

OK, as long as they change the name right now I’ll stop being mad

They just opened today, with a standing menu out front…simple menu, burgers, pizza, fried seafood(popcorn shrimp, Calamari etc.) hoagies and sandwiches, and an assortment of tacos, at pretty reasonable prices. Worth a try…?
