Vegan Apple Strudel Recipe

This is a very simple recipe, I learnt from my friend Milica – @https://www.instagram.com/milicakinst
I updated it a little and changed the size .

Ingredients :
6 Large Apples
3 Tbs Sugar
2 Tbs Cinnamon Powder
Zest if 1 lemon
150 gms Vegetable Butter
Sheets of Filo Pastry, each strudel needs about 4 sheets.

Method:
– Wash and then Peel the Apples
– Slice the apples and set aside
– Melt 150 gms Vegetable Butter
– 100ml of the Melted butter should be put in a wok/pot
– Add in the sliced apples
– Turn the apples as they cook in the pot
– Add 3 Tbs of Sugar into the pot with the cooking apples
– Add 2 Tbs of Cinnamon Powder
– Add the zest of 1 lemon
– Place the Filo Pastry on kitchen cloth, use a brush and spread the oil on each sheet of film, and then place another filo on top and brush the oil/vegetable butter until you have 4 sheets
– Add the cooked apple filling and place in the file sheets and fold and roll it.
– Repeat until done
– Coat all the filled file with vegetable butter and place in a baking sheet
– Bake in the oven at 180° for 45 minutes
– When ready plate up and you can put powdered sugar and enjoy !
