There is no sugar or carbs and it os not a real fatty meat. So really this firecracker shrimp recipe would be great on a keto diet also. I love seafood and I love cooking on the grill so this is jsut the kind of food that I want to eat for my evening meal. Now this is not bacon wrapped shrimp recipe. Instead of using bacon I used proscuitto to wrap my shrimp. By using a thinly slice proscuitto I did not have to cook my shrimp as long, therefore I did not overcook my shrimp. So if you like spicy shrimp this is a great spicy grilled shrimp marinade. These shrimp will make great firecracker shrimp appetizers but you can also use them as the main course on a ketogenic meal and you can add them to a small steak. Marinate Recipe
1/4- 1/3 cup Olive oil
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lemon
2tsp Italian seasoning
1/4-1/2tsp Cayenne pepper
1/2tsp Granulated garlic

hello there I’m chef Johnny this is Texas style barbecue in cuisine appreciate you stopping by now today we’re cooking up some fantastic shrimp can I have a lot of flavor gonna have some heat to them these are known as firecracker shrimp I bet you can kiss guess why because they’re gonna they’re gonna be a little on the spicy side but I tell you what they are great for the diet I’m on Thank You Roger Raglan and put a link down below for his Roger Raglan outdoors he’s the one that came up with this diets been working good for me and I tell you what you could have a skewer of the shrimp or maybe coupling with a nice sirloin steak get you about six seven eight ounces of sirloin and a couple of these shrimp make a really nice meal to go with it but they’re fantastic let’s get these wrapped up and see how they turn out we start getting this shrimp ready to go first thing we do is going to marinate it so you need to marinate it half hour maybe two hours tops lemon juice things like thats just start breaking it down put on we’re gonna get our marinades made it up it’s a shrimp in it and then get our fire ready to go by that time they will marinate it long enough to take in all those flavors and then we’re gonna get them on the grill people on the on the forums are asking for some grilled recipes so there’s going to be an excellent grilled shrimp we’re gonna do them wrapped in prosciutto you could use bacon you could use pancetta whatever you wanted to or you’re gonna see we do some without the wrap around I’m just a straight shrimp so get ready and let’s see how we make this marinate these are nice big shrimp they are uh oh I think they were 15 and under so you can buy them already peeled and deveined I did all that myself but hey do it how you want to first thing I’m gonna prompt in is I have the juice of one lemon it’s gonna go down into my bag you can do this in a bowl if you wanted to I’m just not going to to keep from dirtying anything else and I’m gonna put in some olive oil I would say maybe three tablespoons could be four quarter cup but olive oils in the zest from that limit that I uh juice always zest his first buddies your then don’t do it opposite and I have about 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning now on this step you can use oregano you can use thyme basil India those would works I just opted for some Italian seasonings it’s gonna work good with this and then I have a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper drop that in there and I’m gonna add some mom’s barley give you a fresh guard a couple of cloves of fresh garlic would be great I don’t have that so I’m gonna just drop in maybe a half a teaspoon of granulated garlic that’s ready to go kind of pick this up and we’re just going to try to mix all those in to our to our oil that’s why if you had a bowl you could whisk it together and maybe get mixed a little better but I found out that it’s not real bad to do it this way it works pretty good and that oil is gonna let that up Italian seasoning start spreading out through it but it’s gonna help them a lot that’s in there open it back up I’m gonna drop in our shrimp two pounds here and these were 15 and unders get the sight and what that means is 15 per pound or less so well that’s what that means if you get Jumbo’s Jumbo’s are 16 to 20 per pound trying to see how much oil I got and how this is gonna coat these shrimp we may want to add a little bit more olive oil to the mix and I think I am open this back up a little more olive oil now marinades on our shrimp get those in the refrigerator now let me share we’re gonna wrap these in we’re gonna wrap these in for sceeto now this is kind of like a really 10 sliced ham product is what it is but you can also can use bacon you could use pancetta either one of those would be great flavor to go with it the reason I’m going to go with the prosciutto is is to cause it is already cooked so therefore you don’t have to leave it on as long as when you wrap shrimp and bacon and you cook your bacon your shrimp is very very overcooked and it’s gonna be tough on you get some good flavor to go with these firecracker shrimp so let me get my fire started and I will get right back with you there you go we’re going to the dogs Reilly’s waiting for something to eat Charlie want some beef Charlie hey Chuck yeah Charlie’s ready so we’re sitting there waiting for the fire to get out soon as it is we’re gonna get that shrimp on the grill and show you how we do that we’re gonna start securing up this shrimp real quick and it’s been going about a half an hour fire is almost ready so don’t would start wrapping these up get them ready to go so once we get this done we put them right onto the fire nice big shrimp that we have here and I’m just going to take a thin slice of this drunk see that’s just paper-thin I’m gonna put it on my shrimp with the pointy side first so that it gets bigger as we go just like that wrap it up just like that skewers in [Music] that one’s looking good again point inside first wrap it around [Music] we’re gonna make two skewers with the prosciutto on them and two with nothing at all just the seasoning our web is ready to go and you can use your gas grill whatever you wanted to for this step I’m just using my weber today I could use the lion grill over there but we just we off this per have a little smoke on it today but I’ve got some briquettes and then I have some mesquite bump and that mesquite loves could give it a nice flavor with this spiciness it’s gonna go real well what’s Mesquite so we’re gonna come in here and get our shrimp down we’re gonna go two minutes on each side [Music] first cure is down your number two and then I have three skewers with no prosecutor on them they’re just plain [Music] so there we go we’re gonna go to two minutes we’ll flip them over go two minutes they should be done now we’re gonna see how these firecrackers shrimps turned down let’s check these shrimp see how they turned out they are looking pretty look at that almost time to turn they are smoking up good on that let’s keep lump charcoal and C and B let’s see if we get these turns over it’s been two minutes now liftoff oh yes they’re starting to look good Tong’s and much loves here got the high heat gloves on just be careful not to burn yourself I think what I’m gonna do is these that don’t have that yacht for Chiquito on them I’m gonna lose this badge over there it’s a little bit hotter oh you see those char marks some of that fats coming down and I’ll step for sceeto sliding up that we don’t go out in the SEC that I’m gonna move that one [Music] two minutes on this side we’ll get them all and we got a great meal these shrimp are off they’re looking real pretty I think one of my skewers is just slide these off be careful to make sure your steel skewers use wooden ones soak them in water first that’ll help them not burn as much but those look pretty [Music] here are mine that are wrapped in prosciutto then I have the plain ones [Music] and when you cook a shrimp way to tell is and when you skewer them they don’t always curl and stuff but if you have a shrimp that stuff it’s not secured or anything when it’s a sea it’s cooked if it’s curls all the way to an O you overcook your shrimp it’s a little bit tough just a beautiful plate of shrimp can’t can’t anything wrong about that at all all within the limits of the diet from Roger Raglan you can find it on Roger Raglan outdoors at his website I’ll put a link down below so if anybody’s interested in following this diet again doing this I’m down 25 pounds now and in a short period of time and it’s something I think I can stick with Roger does a great job of introducing you to it these currents you just stay on it my wife’s down about 11 to 12 pounds now so we’re both doing good but it’s looking wonderful let’s try one of these and see how it turned out fruss quito instead of bacon that’s been shot you get a little heat coming in but up the char you got on this prosciutto to char you get on that shrimp very good very tasty it would work if you want to a thin slice bacon you can do that thin sliced bacon you could use pancetta also and both those would work but great great shrimp right here today well within the limits we can have and what I want you to do is is up check out some of my other videos that put a link down below for my a sirloin steak video and it’s sirloins with a mushroom sauce again within the boundaries of the diets very good meal we had and we have with some salads and broccoli went along great but just keep looking for recipes I’m gonna keep trying to post some up I’m gonna try to do some grilling stuff that’s it within his rules but it’s a great great if you’re not on a diet these are great also nothing wrong with them but they are a fantastic firecracker shrimp easy to do if you want to to cook these look down below I’m gonna have the recipe I used down in the description box so you can see exactly how to make them and again stand alone by themselves meal with a little jicama slaw or something to go with it what slaw you want it and maybe with a nice fillet or even with a good little sirloin and if you’re on the die just remember we got 10 ounces of meat so you get a couple of these get a little steak and make a wonderful milk just cuz you’re on a diet don’t be Katie good so thanks for One small nigglin….I come from the n.e….specifically Long Island ny, and an ethnically Italian lineage….prosciutto is known as…phonetically "prahhzhutté" or prazhute(if you wanna speak Sopranos…lol). Either way…KILLERRRR!!!! Def gonna whip some of this up!!!!!
