ingredients:
pastry dough
2 cups all purpose flour
1 stick = 1 stick unsalted butter
1/4 cup shortening
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp complete seasoning

filling
1 can corned beef
1/2 cup diced onions
1/2 cup diced bell peppers
5 cloves garlic minced
2 stalks chopped scallions
1 cup mixed vegetables
1 tsp complete seasoning
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1 tsp saltfree garlic & herb seasoning
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1-2 tbsp ketchup

hi guys welcome back to my channel thank you all for stopping by today I’m going to show you how I made these delicious corn beef patties let’s get into [Music] it okay guys so let’s start by preparing our pastry dough first here I have some allpurpose flour some unsalted butter and shorten and I have here some salt sugar and complete seasoning add the seasonings to the flour and mix that in until it’s well combined then you want to add the butter and shortening and work that in by hand until it resembles breadcrumbs or wet sand once everything is well combined you want to start adding some cold ice water a little at a time until you form a firm dough you want to avoid kneading this just press and squeeze until it all comes together Once the dough comes together this is how it should be looking next I will go ahead and place this into a Ziploc bag you can also use plastic wrap and we’ll place this in the fridge overnight tomorrow I’ll show you guys The Next Step so now let’s prepare the filling using one can of corn beef use any brand of your choice I have some mixed vegetables some bell peppers garlic onion some scallion for the seasoning I have some saltree garlic and herb seasoning seasoned salt paprika black pepper and complete seasoning to a preheated Skillet I’ve added some oil allow that to heat up once it heats up I went in with my aromatics give it a good mix and allow to go for about 3 minutes next we will add our vegetables give it a toss and add our seasoning to add a bit of flavor and taste to this and we will allow to go for about 2 minutes or so the seasonings I’m using today are very low in sodium so it won’t affect our corn beef cuz you know corn beef is high in sodium and you don’t want to overpower it with too much salt so go light on the seasoning once this has gone for about 2 minutes we will now come in with our corn beef break that apart make sure it’s well combined and then I will add a little ketchup for that sweetness and tanginess and yeah just make sure it’s mixed in and the last thing we will add is our scallion and that’s basically it quick easy and simple but again feel free to cook your corn beef the way that you like it if you want to add some potatoes in here or some cabbage whatever go right ahead it’s all good [Music] so now we’ll go ahead and prepare the patties I am going to flour my Surface and I did take my pastry out the fridge for about an hour so it could like come up to room temperature cuz you know it’s going to be solid and we want it to be a little bit more you you know loose so we can roll it out so I’m going to roll it out into a flat disc and I’m going to cut some wrong circles out in which I will make my patties and this thing that I’m using to cut the circles out is from my bullet blender it’s like the cover for the Bullet blender but anything can be used you can use a pot cover um a glass anything that’s the size of the patties that you would like once we cut them out I will show you how to fill [Music] them so here I’ve prepared a baking tray with some parchment paper in which I will place my Patties on and now you want to just go ahead and grab one of those um pastry and you will add your filling right in the middle you can use as much or as little filling as you like you know it’s your choice once we’re done you want to fold it over like you see me doing here press it down to make sure it’s sealed and then I just like to go over with the fork to make that little design around the edges and that’s basically it you want to cut on with this process until you’re all out of filling or pastry [Music] so once you’re done you want to just get an egg wash what I did was beat one egg with a few drops of water and I will brush over the top with the egg water what I used to do is poke holes in my patties to create venting holes but I stopped doing that recently because what I find is it started drying out the meat in the Patty by the time my potty was done the meat especially the top part where the holes were the meat was dried out so I stopped doing that and I just bake them as they are once you’re done you want to place this in a 360° oven for about 30 minutes or so or at least until the they are nice and brown and crispy once they’re done they should be looking like this they smell so amazing but you want to allow them to cool a little before you dig in so here you have it my version of um corn beef patties they were so good guys if you like corn beef you would definitely love this they were so flavorful and delicious the um pastry was so um flaky and just melt Ed in my mouth I truly enjoy this and I can’t wait for you guys to give the recipe a try if you enjoy the video don’t forget to give it a thumbs up share it and leave a comment down below I will leave all the ingredients and measurements down in the description box and I’ll see you guys in my next one thank you for watching I appreciate your support and as always enjoy
