Delete if not allowed. I’m interested in making a charcuterie board for a picnic but I’m not super familiar with all the different kinds of cheeses or cold cuts. I think I like Provolone but I’ve come across some that either have no taste or smell funky and I always forget what brand the one I like is. I think I tried a free sample of Muenster one time and enjoyed that as well. I think I like mozzarella but not the kind that smells straight up like milk.
As far as meats go, I like Genoa salami and those smoked meats that have the spices on the edge (not sure the name I’m sorry!)
I apologize for the lousy descriptions but I’m just trying to get recommendations based on what I like. I don’t really like stinky cheeses or very sharp flavors. I don’t mind trying different textures though. I do like the flavor of feta but I struggle to find a brand that doesn’t have a strong smell.
I’d love some recommendations for what to pair with it besides the usual grapes, apple slices, salami and crackers. Pic for attention. Thank you in advance!

Sharp cheese (cheddar, blue), creamy cheese (goat, Brie), hard cheese (Parmesan, Romano). Grapes, girkins, dry salami, provolone and summer sausage with baguette slices and a simple salt cracker would be my go to for a simple easy charcuterie
Just got simple! Try the three rule! (Three cheeses three nuts three vessels three fruits and three extras(nuts jams olives etc) if you have an ALDIs they have a great selection of meets and cheeses perfect for charcuterie! Some are even precut to make it even easier. My go tos are usually Brie l, some type of cheddar and gouda if I don’t know the crowd I’m going to. And meats I usually do some kind of salami ok a flower, some thick cut salami in smaller size and prosciutto. I find it’s all about the presentation that can make even the basic ingredients fancy.always start with your large items or focal point. Good luck!
