how to grow more food using less Space by using the ultimate companion planting technique the Three Sisters Garden the first sister’s corn we’ll be placing two seeds every 8 Ines in row with each row being spaced 18 in apart as the oldest sister she will provide the bulk of our calories and support for sister number two once the seeds are in I like to give everything a good soaked before covering it up with soil and then tamping it down with my feet so they get good soil contact and good germination 3 weeks later the corn is about 6 in tall it’s time to introduce sister number two the climbing bean I take my beans and I place them about 3 in away from each plant which gives them plenty of room to grow but still allows them to reach that corn stock this is important because the big sister corn over here is going to be growing vertically and that’s going to become the Tris for these beans to actually climb on now that these two sisters are working together let’s introduce sister number three we have to wait for the beans to come up before introducing sister number three because she is winter squash and once she starts growing she will take over this whole area and her giant leaves will act as living mulch to shade the ground and keep the water in this patch and if you want to see the full process and the Harvest I got then check out this video linked down here

Where’s the link man
I never thought about allowing my corn to be a trellis!
Changes my mind about growing them.
Can’t wait to try this in 8 years when I finally have a yard 😂
That's so cool!!!
I pregerminate corn with a ( very dilute!) soak of kelp foliar solution.
The three sisters are why the Mexican valley is one of the cradles of civilization.
No music needed next time
That is genius 👏!
I've always known about the 3 sisters but I love how you actually anthropomorphized them…I have 2 sisters and 3 daughters so now I'm going to tell them "you're corn!" "You're beans!" " I'm squash!" 🤣

Yeah, until deer run thru the vines n tear it all down
Our beans ended up wrapping around the corn silks and messing up the corn pollination last year
Here is the link to my full Three Sisters Garden video from last year! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocaAyONKvgg
I did this last yr and felt like the beans were choking out the corn from the tassels opening. I freaked out and cut my beans 🤦♀️ ill try again though. I love your content ❤
I am going to try this next year.
Very interesting
This is exactly what I'm doing right now, and in San Diego too! 😆 Chula Vista baby!
Amazing, Mayas used this 3
I'm growing the Three Sisters in mounds in the backyard this year. The corn hasn't gotten tall enough to start the beans yet. Right now, it looks like i have 3 straw-covered mini volcanoes 🌋
People acting like this is new.
Hey are you gay
What a great plan and I know it looks awesome with everything grown up!
What time of year in southeast is? Is it too late now that is is over 90 most days? Also, time from planting to harvest please. Thank you!
Absolute "work smarter not harder"
How to prevent squirrels eating 2 of the sisters? They ate all 20 of my corn and 8/10 of my kabucha squash😢
Want to see who dies first the most, and who can survive to last 3 or 4
HELP ME WOTH MY WATERMELONS!!!! I didn’t think they would all survive but they did and I don’t wanna cull them….. can watermelons grow vertically!!???
Corn needs nitrogen
As a Briton, I only use inches for length, not distance
I knew it i always have to aim for her other sisters, my girlfriend says that's cheating but what can i say? just following a guide on youtube about 3 sisters.
That's beautiful to see how vegetables support each other,
I had studied about it and thought to do so and in between ur video pop's up…that will be helpful 😊
I can see why wheat became so popular, you can just broadcast the stuff
Those look like Scarlet Runner Beans.. such a gorgeous Bean.. I'd like to make jewelry from them.. but couldn't waste a Bean 😂
