Maybe it’s the Midwest in me or that my grandparents were hog farmers, but I love a ham salad sandwich – especially with crushed hot mustard Doritos on it. My toaster took a crap over the weekend and I haven’t replaced it yet, otherwise I’d have toasted the bread

My mom was from the Midwest and this combination of ham salad w/ white bread immediately brought me all the way back to NWI. ❤️

My favorite toaster is my air fryer. 4 minutes at 400°F and you have perfect toast every time. This includes sandwich buns and hard rolls.

I am from Pittsburgh and we ate ham salad quite often when I was young… have not had it for years, but brings back memories!
I’m from New England and ham salads were a staple for my lunch.
My aunt gave me one when I was younger (and an extremely picky eater) and I loved it. Kept bothering my mom to buy some for me, and she couldn’t stand to be in the kitchen when I would make them eat the sandwich.

Everything about that sando except the bread looks and sounds great. I just can’t do plain white bread, tho. Toasted or not, whole wheat or rye would’ve knocked that up a notch
