sausage gravy perfect for a weekend breakfast this goes perfect alongside some homemade or canned biscuits or just on shredded bread like we did in the good old days i’m gonna start by browning a half pound of sausage when it’s cooked i’m gonna throw in two tablespoons of butter when it’s melted sprinkle in 1 3 cup of all-purpose flour and let that flour cook out for about two to three minutes you don’t want that raw flour taste in your gravy and if it sticks to the bottom a little it’s okay not a huge deal then pour in two and a half cups of milk i’m using whole milk today i like to season mine with a lot of freshly cracked black pepper and then i’m also going to throw in some salt just put in salt per your taste then i’m going to continuously stir this over medium heat until it becomes nice and thick just like this and towards the end i’m going to season it with a little bit more cracked black pepper you can add more salt now if you need to as well and then i’m gonna throw in some paprika give it all a good mix and at this point you’re pretty much done this is also great if you want to make like a breakfast pizza i’ll have to show that sometime but that’s how i make
