Just bought these snacks, is it supposed to taste like this?
I just bought these snacks from my local Korean mall. When I chew on them, it doesn't really dissolve in my mouth, and they're very chewy, it sort of tastes a bit stale. Is it supposed to taste like that, or did I get a stale bag?

If they taste stale, they probably are. They are caramel flavored corn puffs. The texture is more dense than regular corn puffs, but it should be crunchy.

These are basically a styrofoam thing made from corn starch, with fake caramel flavor. It shouldn’t really taste stale, on the other hand stale corn puffs will probably not hurt you.

The taste being stale, I can’t speak to, but the chewiness is about the Korean corn. If you ever try Korean corn on its own, it’s very dense and very chewy. It’s delicious steamed, and when it’s popped it’s got a more hearty chewy texture. Definitely not the sweet corn airy texture!
