Lettuce, bacon, guac, and microgreen shoots on Beefsteak soft rye bread. I was out of tomatoes so I added diced red pepper for color.

I love the flavor and the texture they add to a sandwich!

Ew no, not only is their texture and flavor gross they’re a major source of food born illness

I like any greens on my sandwich
But you better be confident in your guacamole as I hate avocado. Unless you want me to end you.

Came out to Berkeley from Michigan in 1980. Never had heard of sprouts (or cilantro). After a year I finally remembered to always say hold the sprouts. Went back to small town Michigan for a bit in 82 and I’d order every sandwich without sprouts. “What the hell are sprouts” was said every time. And when I explained, there was a store wide freak out. I’m guessing things are different now and sprouts are at least known back there. I never grew to like sprouts but cilantro first tasted like soap to me and now is one of my favorite ingredients.

I feel like micro greens are different than sprouts.

Sprouts are mostly stem, while micro greens actually have some leafy texture.

I don’t care for sprouts, but my fiance loves them so they go in most of the sandwiches. Apparently they’re good for you, so that’s what I tell myself. Sometimes I’ll just leave them off mine.

I like them but they make me fart so much

Depends on the sprout. I despise alfalfa sprouts, but others? Yes, please.

Mayo > Guac on a sandwich in almost every situation

One of my favorite greens to put in a sandwich. Much less slipping and sliding than lettuce/leafy greens

Love them when they’re fresh. Soggy sprouts are godawful

  16. RoadsideCarver

They’re ok for texture but I wouldn’t use them if packing the sandwich for later. They’ll sog out.

One of the dirtiest things you could put on a sandwich per infectious disease. If immunocompromised it’s one of the things recommended against eating

  18. axethebarbarian

I prefer them over lettuce for sure.

  19. I don’t understand the appeal in a sandwich. Just hand them to me I’ll eat a fistful as appetizer, and for my health. But not in a sandwich

Hard pass. The crunchy wetness = yes, but the bitterness = no
