God DAMN. This place is absolutely phenomenal. I’m an absolute donut snob and these were my favorite I’ve had beating out spots like SK, donut man, donut friend and donut hut and sidecar.

I still love all those other places but these were just phenomenal. I don’t remember all the flavors but the top left was a floral rose one, top right was a mango passion fruit, bottom left was vanilla lavender and bottom right was vanilla maple. The dough is a taro dough which gave it such a nice crispy outside texture but slightly chewy inner texture.

They make the donuts right when you order them so the wait is a little bit but they come out hot and fresh and they’re so so so good.

And they’re vegan too! (Except for the flavors with honey)

They’re okay. Coconut oil is a bit overbearing.

    Snob company however

Meh. They’re not as great as they smell

Have you tried Vietnamese mom and pop donut shops?

They’re def good but I’d rather have sidecar

I used to work at one of these. I always wondered if HG would pop up here. Most of the topping have music references as names, so the top left is the “Hail Mary”, bottom left is “Birthday Cake” and the lower right is the “OG”. I’m not sure about the top right, the menu kinda changes weekly.

Tried these for the first time last year (location on Larchmont), but have not gone back. They were tasty, but standing around for 20 minutes to get 4 VERY small and dense donuts is not part of my overall donut plan. They were tasty, but not enough to justify the price tag, or the wait.

There are plenty of foods that I think absolutely warrant “made to order”, and I would stand around for them for a lot longer than 20 minutes. For me though, these donuts just don’t fall into that category.

Tried the one on 2nd st in LB last night. Not good for the price

I’m with you, OP. The salt and honey one is my favorite donut in LA, hands down. Sidecar in Costa Mesa comes close but Holey Grail’s offerings are much tastier.

Is this the same donut business that’s in Hawaii?

I’ll have to try these. But I always find myself just going back to Randy’s for a regular glazed. Still the best donut I’ve had here.

    Holy sh*t

That is some big endorsement. I will definitely try this when I go to LA.

sidecar beats them all, as long as you wait for a warm one.

Good donuts but way too small 🙁

I’d rather eat at any asian owned pink box donut shop, really.

Maybe I’m just a simple man with simple needs and tastes, but I just don’t need a fancy donut.
