Mites will cause damage with similar symptoms.
You really need a hand lens or other magnification to see these bugs as they are super small. But you need to look at the underside of the leaves very closely. You will see bronze colored shiny patches develop. Under magnification you will see the punctures or scars in the leaf tissue.
Treatment is the same for both of these. Either go with a beneficial insect that will eat the pest or use a spray.
One gallon of water with 1 tablespoon of regular dish soap. Mix it in a sprayer. Spray all surfaces of every plant in the vicinity. Do this around sun down so the plant doesn’t burn. Spray once a week for a few weeks then occasionally afterwards.
If you have a bad infestation you can spray spinosad or pyrethrins.
