Tabasco flavor? I couldn’t wait for them to get red, so I picked one for lunch. Nice heat, and with a rather grassy flavor I would say, similar to some Thai peppers I grew some years ago. What are your flavor expectations/experiences of a green or a red tabasco pepper? Will it change as it ripens?

I’m just hoping mine don’t die… I messed up a little
Like all fruit, the taste of peppers improve when ripened.
That grassy green vegetable flavor goes away when they ripen.
I’m growing Tabasco and a heat less “No-basco” variety amongst others. I can’t wait to give them taste tests, but I’ve only just begun to get flower buds.
