You could make them with your hands and a whisk if you wanted. As long as things are getting properly mixed, it doesn’t matter how.

I’ve made them with a hand mixer many times. My hand mixer is more efficient than a stand mixer for smaller quantities anyway. It’s fine.

Absolutely! But even bad brownies can be salvaged somehow! I accidentally added a little too much salt to a batch, and discovered that it made the brownies perfect to add to ice cream!

Yes you should be fine. The recipes you have to watch out for are the ones where you’re creaming butter and sugar together using the paddle attachment of a stand mixer. Normal hand mixers just won’t give you that same type of motion as a paddle attachment in a stand mixer. However for this recipe, you’re using the whisk attachment of a stand mixer, which will be very similar to hand mixers.
