today I’m going to be making a Thanksgiving staple at least it is in our house I’m making mashed potatoes but here’s the twist we’re gonna do it in a slow cooker so what I have here is roughly 2 pounds quartered red skin potatoes this is just a standard 3 cut slow cooker [Music] and that’s it I’m going to put those in cook it slow and low for 6 to 8 hours like that everyone it’s been about 8 hours you know got my work done time to get dinner ready this is our tato they’ve been cooking on low [Music] take you up to the table getting ready nice pork tender so I didn’t season if they’re ready to be matched push them a little bit then I’m gonna pause midway enough for liquid to help make them this mash a little easy so I’ve just begun to mash these this is 1/4 cup of regular milk use whatever kind of milk you like 1/2 cup of sour cream you could also substitute in Greek yogurt maybe some cottage cheese this is about 1/4 teaspoon of just black pepper about maybe half a teaspoon of regular salt usually it’s kosher salt and this is three garlic cloves finely chopped a little bit and then we will continue to mash until it’s down to a nice consistency that looks like mashed potatoes you could also use a hand mixer that would make this a little bit easier but I like using it’s the mashed potato masher simply because it gives it more of that home field with the chunks done that’s also why I left the skin that if you don’t like the potatoes comes feel free to peel over first there you have it homemade mashed potatoes straight out of slow cooker and it’s delicious like I said feel free to use a mixer if you’d like here’s a little bit software and creamier oh you know the drill subscribe share like and give me your comments below and don’t forget about this guy they say no to thumbs up yeah okay take care

  1. That's a handy, dandy idea! Like it! Did u put any liquid into the crockpot at the beginning? I was thinking water or chicken broth…..
