Sudden variegation in Cabai Kopay ? What might have happened? Details in comment

I started this plant somewhere in July/ Aug 2023 from my own saved seeds ( seeds saved by me in 2021)
So far the plant has produced lots of pods till February 2024, as can be seen from my previous posts. None of them showed any signs of variegation. March to May are very hot months here close to 42°c or 102+F so no pods during this period.
Temps started to go down with start of monsoon and the plant has started flowering and setting fruits again.
While checking the plants I was surprised to see this cool variegation on few pods. There are about 5-6 pods right now and out of those one is prominently variegated while other two have light variegation and no signs of variegation on others.
The only variegated variety I grew was Trifiti Variegated in my balcony but I don’t remember the year, if it was in 2021 , there is a possibility that it has crossed with Cabai Kopay . One more possibility- I got these seeds in 2020 in a trade and possibly already crossed? And showing the variegation now?
