Did our first smoke on the KJC3. It’s only been pizza and burgers up to this point. I have never smoked anything, ever.
Smoked a 3.38lb pork butt which turned out better than I could have imagined. Using the MEATER probe for the first time was awesome. I was very hesitant about getting one due to the price but realized it would only help; also it would be silly to fail a cook due to a thermometer after spending this much on a grill. If anything it would track my first attempt, failure or not. I have no experience with any other thermometers. That said, this one kills it. I incorrectly set up the first cook so it was split into two, which is why I’m posting two pics; same cook.
In conclusion, I’m hooked 🔴

nice job! meater probes are the only way to go
try to save the juices from the pork but and mix when shredded so its nice and moist
How was the meater probe? A lot of people have polarizing opinions on it
