Koftas
This is my take on a Turkish/Greek meatball.

Mediterranean food has certainly grown on me, and since we have returned, I have been trying to incorporate a few of the dishes we tried into our weekly meals.

I love the freshness of the dishes and the fact that most of the dishes we tried used seasonal veggies.

For these Koftas, I am using lean beef mince which I have purchased from Woolworths. I think using a combination of lamb and beef mince would be a great option as well.

INGREDIENTS
– 500g mince (lamb/beef)
– 1/2 onion, grated and strained
– 1/2 red bell pepper, diced finely
– 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 teaspoon ginger and garlic paste
– 1 teaspoon chilli powder
– 1 teaspoon oregano
– 1 teaspoon cumin powder
– Fresh dill

METHOD
1. Combine the mince with all of the above spices and seasonings, ginger and garlic paste, chopped parsley, grated onion, and diced red pepper.
2. Once everything is combined, shape the Koftas and place them on a plate or tray.
3. Air fry for 15 minutes at 205 degrees Celsius, making sure to turn them halfway through cooking.
4. Once they are done cooking, squeeze over some lemon, fresh dill and enjoy them with a refreshing salad and dip.

cuas are a staple in mini Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Cuisines so this is my take you’ll start off by combining your mins with all of the spices and Seasonings which are listed in the caption below some fresh parsley some diced up red pepper and some grated onion that’s been strained now make sure all of the ingredients are mixed together until it’s well combined and the mins look something like this once all of your ingredients come together you can shape the cofas and you’re going to use an ice cream scoop so you’re just going to add about one ice cream scoop into your hand and sort of like just mold the mints until it looks sort of like a oval diamond and flatten it down and add it to a plate or a tray now there are a couple ways that you can prepare these you can fry them or you can Grill them I’m going to use my instant Vortex plus verses on air fryer just pray some olive oil and you’ll be able to add in 12 cuters comfortably so I’m going to air fry them for 15 minutes at 205° making sure to turn them halfway through cooking and once
