  1. You don’t. You just try to make it so that when you do eat over you don’t over eat.

So maybe you have 2-3 days at maintenance calories but you’re not eating 500 over your maintenance amount.

I suggest a few things: set different intake goals for different days. It’s reasonable to set your goal to 1500 most days and drop down to 1200 once or twice a week when appropriate.
Find some form of exercise you like and focus on enjoying the feeling rather than burning calories.
Please have some compassion for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with you – diets are hard. Hating the weight off yourself is extremely challenging to accomplish. You got this 🌸

On the lose it app you have the option to set the goal lower during weekdays and higher during weekends to account for social outings and whatever

My last 4 weeks have been fucked up but I lost 20 lbs so I feel like I’ve gotten too relaxed.

Not sure if this will be considered a negative response on this particular sub but it may just be that 1200 simply isn’t plenty for you.
Having target is great, and theoretically hitting an average of 1500 or 1800 is sufficient maintenance calories for the average human but this obviously differed slightly depending on a few factors such as lifecycle, age, height and so on.
If any of these factors are impacting your ability to achieve a low maintenance calorific intake of 1200 then it could simply be that it is not sufficient for you to maintain this restrictive of a diet.

Using myself as an example: at 25-28 years old I was heavily into mixed martial arts, exercise, had a decent paying, low stress but sedentary job and little to no dependents. I was exercising for 2-3 hours a day in both morning and evening before and after work. I was pretty consistently eating clean Keto and was in the best shape of my life both physically and mentally. Fast forward to now in my mid thirties with many dependents, much stress and an even more sedentary work from home IT job, I’ve fought tooth and nail to get that body and mindset back to no avail. I’ve pretty much chastised myself many times as to why I could it 5-10 years ago but not now. The answer was quite simple for my experience… I’m not that young anymore, I don’t have that much free time anymore and my body has changed significantly since then.
I’m not able to maintain a low calorific intake at the same time as going to the gym (for weights mostly these days rather than my previous combat sports/cardio), my body composition is more muscle than it was previously, albeit with a bit more ‘padding’ on it these days too.

All this to say; you may be attempting to restrict yourself too much, too fast. Find a calorific intake that is on average lower than your maintenance (which can be found over a period of a few weeks if not already known to you via weight vs level of activity and average heart rate), then over time once you slowly lose the unwanted weight and you see changes, you can gradually lower it to a much more restrictive number such as this if you still desire to do so.

I went from 152 to 136 from January to June while eating 1200 but still going out on weekends and taking trips. So it took me 5 months instead of 3.5 if i had stuck to 1200 every day. I had mine set to 1100 on weekdays and 1400 on weekends.

At the end of the day I’m still at my goal weight now even if it took a bit longer. And I didn’t have to give up socializing or traveling. I just got right back on the wagon the next day and the weight kept coming off. When I go out I go for lower calorie options. I also added in cardio towards the end of my weight loss journey so that I could enjoy going out without going over my calories for the week.

I did not try to compensate for overeating by eating under 1100 the next day. I did that one day early in the diet and it was just really disordered and I knew if I kept down that road I would develop an unhealthy relationship with food. I see your chart shows days that are under 1100, so I’m not sure if you just didn’t finish logging that day or you are under eating but it’s a slippery slope and I’d avise against it.
