I use mine every now and then to render down stuff that would otherwise fall thru the grates.
I really like that coil you have around the handle of your cast iron. Is that aftermarket? I’d really like to get something like that, guess I could run to Lowe’s and find what I need to duplicate that.
Edit: mmm chicken thighs or so over charcoal are so good

I swapped one grate for a griddle insert. Been very happy with it.
