These guys are about a foot tall with good sized leaves. However this is what the base looks like. Should I remove all of these lower leaves and sucker's or let them be? I, know they have the potential to drive up pepper production but I want to make sure it would be better to leave them and have some super lie branches.. Or trim them? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on it! The top down photos show current growth.

Id generally not prune…I only prune if I see any signs of disease or anything else on the lower leaves and I pinch out flowers which are to low (when future fruit could touch the soil). Would like to hear some other opinions as well 🙂 Nice plants btw
I agree with the other commenter. Until a plant gets established i try to only prune outside of the season when it’s producing in order to correct imbalance or snip little suckers at the base of the main stalk, with the exception being if i see disease.
Let it grow before you prune. Some of those are potential branches
My general rule for my plants is to not prune branches but to prune the starting leaves once a branch begins growing
I don’t but by time I final transplant from large solo cups they have intermodal starting
Personally, anything low I prune so all the energy can go to the canopy and invigorate growth of the higher branching structure. Longterm this will create a healthier and bushier plant. Those baby leaves aren’t doing squat diddle.
I only prune off lower leaves and non-fruited lower limbs on large varieties once they get around 2 feet tall. I don;t prune on smaller varieties.
What is the device you have on top of the plant? The colored plastic with the loop.
