when you kind of want a sandwich but you don’t want all of that bread that’s when it’s time to make a wrap I’m sharing with you three different wraps that you could have for lunch or dinner it’s just perfect for the summer time hey y’all I’m Mandy and this is Mandy in the making for the first wrap that we’re making we are using the help of some rotisserie chicken and we are having southwest chicken wraps this is going to take just a few minutes to put together and it’s going to be so good okay it is just me and Steven here tonight so I’m just making a couple of wraps so I don’t have to have a whole lot of my ingredients I’m adding some sour cream here maybe not quite half a cup I’m just going to add in the rest of this fresh salsa that we have I thought I had another thing of salsa but I didn’t but good thing we don’t need a whole lot it’s a little watery I should have drained that some but we’ll go with it we’re also going to add in just a little bit of taco seasoning maybe a tablespoon that’s our dressing for our Southwest wrap let’s move on you need some Fritos and you’re going to crush them so I’ve just got a handful here since I’m only making a couple of wraps and I’m just going to crush them here in this bowl the chili cheese buritos would be a good option too okay that’s good okay I’ve got this large wrap here we’re going to cover half the wrap with the sauce about a tablespoon or so don’t put it all the way out to the edge leave a little space I forgot to chop my lettuce I grabbed this lettuce from our garden let me chop this I’ll be right back okay I’ve got some shredded lettuce here let’s add that over top of our sauce we’ve got some chopped tomato I’ve got this avocado that I need to use because it is starting to go soft so let me grab some of that I’ve got got some taco blend cheese left over from taco night so we’ll just add a little bit of that on top let’s put our chicken on next like I mentioned I used rotisserie chicken you could even use canned chicken honestly for this one we’re going to add our Fritos on top of that it’s going to give it a good crunch and some more sauce on top all right let’s just roll that up oh this thing she chunky that’s why we have this large wrap right there we go all right one down now let me make one for me that’ll be Steven’s Steven is on the phone with his stepmom he’ll be in here in just a second and we’ll eat but I have a little bit of chicken left over and a little bit of cheese left over so you know how that goes also that’s where y’all sit right inside of there little girl hi you want to [Music] Something There You Go chicken and cheese okay there you go happy as can [Music] be you want more don’t you yeah I’ll give you some more chicken he just got off the phone with his stepmom and we are going to eat I like your hair thanks looks fantastic I don’t know if I’ve seen these oh this is your new earrings check them out have y all seen them can you see let’s see they’re shaped like cats but they’re bookshelves with books on them I love that it’s so cute all right you ready to eat I am I’m hungry all right here we go thank you so much for making this this looks really good I was actually craving a wrap well here you go so good job Tink [Music] M that’s good m that is really good definitely get the avocado now but there’s some sort of like spicy ranch or something I don’t know what that is but that is delicious and the chicken is uh it’s not dry I guess you could say get the crunch of the salad in there too it’s sour cream mixed with salsa and a little bit of taco seasoning oh oh what I’m getting corn something there ain’t no corn up in there know what you’re talking about maybe it’s the um I don’t know it almost was like it almost tasted like a corn chip corn chip they’re in there yeah oh okay they would have been crunchier but these have been sitting for a little while while you were on the phone supposed to have a little crunch yeah they got a little soggy but yes I thought you meant like corn corn but no corn chips it’s like a corn chip flavor yeah that is good May a little dip action well little sour cream if you wanted to yeah you could they’ve been sitting here a little while so they kind of absorbed all the dressing that I made for it but but it’s still the flavors are amazing really good yeah that’s very good on to the next hello let’s make some more wraps today here it’s Father’s Day and we had a large lunch so Steven City’s not hungry he wanted something light for dinner perfect because I was planning on something light for dinner apparently this recipe has gone viral on Tik Tok I would know I don’t do the Tik toks the Tik toks the Tik top I don’t do it but we are going to be making chopped Italian Grinders but we’re going to be making them into a wrap instead of a sandwich let’s do it so stevenh and I are going to be splitting a wrap and then Cole will have one of his own he is here today so I’m not making four sandwiches is what I’m getting at I’m just going to be making two wraps so I’m not going to be using the entire recipe that I found now I think the the recipe says to chop all of this together and that’s fine if you want to do that but I’m chopping it separately just to make sure everything gets chopped kind of evenly you know and I just thought about it Cole can eat tomatoes but if it touches his lips it irritates him so I may just leave the tomatoes out of his and just put the tomatoes in mine and Steven’s just to be on the safe side we need just a little bit of red onion we’ve got some banana peppers here I’m going to chop those the recipe calls for either green or black olives I’m using colam olives cuz that’s what we had I’m going to chop these up next comes the meats I’ve got some ham some Sal salami and some pepperoni as well as some prolon cheese so we’re going to just layer all of this and just kind of chop it up into bite-sized pieces so you can definitely just make this a salad if you want to skip the bread all together now the recipe says you can do this next part right here on the cutting board but I’m going to put it on this plate just to make it not quite as messy but we’re going to add all of this on here except for our Tomatoes I’m going to leave those off just so I can separate that out we’re going to add about a tablespoon of mayonnaise on top some spicy brown mustard just like a teaspoon of bit some Italian seasonings it calls for salt I’m going to go really light on the salt because there’s a good bit of salt in all of those meats just like maybe a/4 of a teaspoon okay let’s add a little bit of olive oil maybe a tablespoon and maybe about a half a tablespoon of red wine vinegar you can’t have an Italian sandwich without oil and vinegar you know let’s just toss all of that around this smells so good I could just eat this whole plate right here there you have it let’s put this in some wraps this time I’ve got the garden spinach herb wraps I’ll make mine and Steven’s first I should have put it more on the side you see how I did it straight in the middle yeah that wasn’t smart just scooted it over a little bit this thing is full I mean yes please Houston we may have a problem the majority of the meat I think ended up in in cold look at his his looks a little different than ours but that’s okay uh-uh what Co is is so happy right now gra Gracie said I want to be happy too all right what are you going to say nothing they can’t see your face so you got to tell them listen listen he says if y’all don’t make this it’s a crime it was nothing to it no it was just chopping everything up you like it you might actually not want to post this video I think this might be illegal illegal this is illegal he says that’s how easy this is all right I’m going to go get your dad and we’re going to do a taste test we’ll be right back all right Steven’s on his way in here Cole said this is the best wrap I’ve ever made M the best rap he’s ever had in his life MH and he said you know you’ve made some good wraps before but this is the best one ever he says this is the best RP ever good I’m looking forward to it however I have to tell you ours I don’t think has as much meat as his did because when I made his I looked at the inside of his and it was way meater than ours so okay just a heads up he wed the meat Lottery on I guess all right hang on all right we is there any meat in here yeah okay I’m just making sure there’s meat in there it’s just not as much as his was got something in there all right you ready I am ready Tink all right here we go Tink mhm I’m I’m sorry my brain’s still trying to catch up mhm m m we still got meat mm not as much as me Cole said not as much as me it’s like an Italian flavor well it’s an Italian sub there you go Italian sub wrap mhm got some cheese in here I see mhm looks like salami maybe even some pepperoni or something mhm you got the salad o i see the yellow pepper in here too banana pepper camada olives Red Onion oil and vinegar mustard mayonnaise that’s like everything I would get on a sub except for we didn’t put jalapenos in very true mhm very good M yeah this is like a great sub alternative mhm Cole is so [Music] happy that is a light dinner you said you wanted light mhm this is light oh that’s my new favorite way to make an Italian sub thank you thank you it’s got onion in here too yeah y’all better be clapping too there’s lots of flavors shoved in this one for sure mhm that’s delicious okay really good I’ve got one more wrap for you we’re going to be having it for lunch tomorrow so see you then is that Buffalo chicken no let’s make one more wrap this one you could definitely finish on the grill I’m going to be finishing mine on The Griddle but these are grilled cheeseburger wraps essentially we’re having cheeseburgers for lunch but in a little bit of a different format so let’s start by taking one PB of ground beef and adding it to our hot Skillet mine is 937 meaning I’m really not going to have have a whole lot to drain I’m going to go ahead and add some seasonings uh you can season this however you would like onion powder salt pepper whatever you want Steven made us a little seasoning blend so I’m just using that I know it’s got those things that I just mentioned as well as like some garlic powder maybe some oregano you just want to season the meat just a little bit okay we need some shredded cheese so I’ve got some cheddar cheese here just going to shred just a little bit for our wraps someone is very aware that I was over at what she thinks is the cheese cabinet because I get The Grater out from there so let’s give her some cheese so now that this is done and again I don’t have to drain mine I’m going to be adding just a couple more ingredients I need to add about a tablespoon of the dub sauce as well as a couple of tablespoons of ketchup and I’m just going to stir that together I’ve turned the heat down to about medium low just going to let that kind of heat through and then we’re ready to assemble and pop these on the okay so I’ve got my large wrap here I’m going to add some cheese this cheese is going to get good and melted next add our burger then you can add some more ketchup on top if you want to and some mustard I’m going to go in with some mustard and some tomato now you can put the Tomato on now we will wait to put on the lettuce and the onion until after it’s been on The Griddle so let’s see if we can roll this up successfully all right I’ve got my griddle heated up over here on the side you can’t see it but now you can so I’m going to pop this seam side down and we’re just going to warm that through while I make the other too this one just went on so I’m going to give it another second but once they Brown on the other side then we’ll kind of carefully open it back up and throw our lettuce and our onion on there and then it’s going to be time to eat so this is Stevens and I’m really hoping I can get this open here we go let’s add his lettuce I just grabbed some lettuce from our garden our indoor garden and then add some onion and then we’re just going to roll this back up hopefully hopefully we can get it rolled back up like a cheeseburger wrap it is a cheeseburger if I would have had bacon I would have added bacon but we don’t have any right now that’s all right uh-oh we we’re down to one piece of power time one piece of power it’s time to go friend dou time here we go tin it tin Tink mhm oh yeah that’s a cheeseburger M oh man M mhm that is really good definitely cheese but I see the cheese in there mhm cheese and lettuce tomato onions very tasty o the wrap is a little bit crispy there too oh you got the griddle out little griddle upgrade that’s really good sweetie has it got waser suure sauce in there it does I taste it and it’s delicious it’s so good mm it’s seasoned perfectly it’s not too over seasoned it definitely just tastes like a cheeseburger but mhm you’re not getting nearly as much bread I love this that is very this needs to be on the rag for sure good job did a good job so out of the three wraps just a reminder we had the southwest chicken wrap the chopped Italian grinder oh yeah that one really good too and then this cheeseburger one wow three very different ones I’m putting the cheeseburger on top what really and then I’m going to put the Italian on the second I cannot believe that chicken on the third that’s hateful this is really good this is delicious first of all I love a good hamburger I know and we are starving and this is we haven’t eaten today and it’s lunchtime so we’re really hungry with this I I don’t I feel sometimes when you eat a hamburger you’re like you feel real heavy yes I don’t feel like that’s going to be a problem with this mm it’s a lighter version of a hamburger yeah it’s it tastes just like a cheeseburger well I mean there you have it I know Cole’s favorite was the Italian yeah don’t listen to them they don’t know what they’re talking about I think my two favorites were these two I did like the chicken one but I think we let it sit for too long um and it absorbed all of that sauce so I should have put some more sauce on it but overall it was very good too so three really great options three very different options let us know which one you’re planning on making we’ll see y’all next time Love wraps! They all looked great! I’m adding avocado to my grocery list so I can make the southwest one first. May try the other two too. What about Greek chicken salad wrap? I have never made Greek chicken salad but have been thinking about it. I already have green pepper, cucumber, pepperoncinis, Kalamata olives & feta. I’m going to try that one too. Thanks for the ideas!
Mandy to prevent an avocado from going too soft this is what I do. Buy green ones and leave them out checking daily at the stem end for a little give. When that area gives to pressure from your thumb that thing is ready to eat or store in the fridge. I buy the big bags from Costco and treat them all this way. Perfect ripeness every single time and they store for days. This method is the same as checking pears for ripeness. It never fails.
