I think I’m not going to like the answer. In the UK if that matters.
Even after I cleaned it out, Vent is currently jammed. Hoping getting it up to temp unblocks it.

Looks like egg sacks? Hard to tell though.

Grease? Scrape it first and fire your kamado for a high temp

Snail eggs?

I think just grease. It’s hardened. Either burn it off. Or soak it in a restaurant grade stove vent degreaser fluid like Greased Lightning. It might have a different name in the UK. I’m sure you can buy it at B&O or a restaurant supply store.
I’d try a burn first.

To give more info, it’s sticky, kind of like honey. It’s not grease as I did a clean burn a few weeks back and took this apart then and haven’t cooked since (UK weather…).
I’m guessing either eggs (though they don’t really have any ‘skin’, or maybe what’s left over after eggs have hatched. Blurgh!!!

Is that q-tips and alcohol??? Did you try dabbing the stuff?

Nothing a hot fire won’t burn out.
I’m cleaning mine right now 🙂
